Feliciano Adolfo Roman Jara, 81, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love he carried throughout his life. After a car accident in August 2019 brought lasting health challenges, he faced each day with quiet strength and resilience and with the support of his doctors and the care of his wife, his family got to cherish six more years by his side.

He was born in Peru on October 6, 1944, to Blas Roman and Margarita Jara. From an early age, he had a deep sense of devotion to family. In 1989, he made the courageous journey to the United States, driven by the hope of creating greater opportunities and a brighter future for his wife and children.

Feliciano found his greatest joy in spending time with his family. Dinner was especially meaningful to him—he cherished having everyone gathered around the table together. On weekends, he loved bringing the family together to grill one of his favorite Peruvian dishes, anticuchos, play board games, and share laughter.

When he had quiet moments to himself, he enjoyed working on puzzles and watching movies. He built an extensive movie collection that spanned comedies, dramas, and action films, and he always had a recommendation ready—often revealing the ending to the movie but his family never minded his spoilers.

He was known for his warm and generous spirit. Feliciano had a deep love for animals and gave many strays a safe and caring home over the years. His kindness, sense of humor, and ability to see the good in others helped him form lasting friendships throughout his life—traits he carried with him until his final days.

He had a few signature traits that made him instantly recognizable: his fondness for wearing his favorite color, yellow, and his habit of filling any room with music. In quieter moments, he and his wife enjoyed exploring new restaurants together, sharing meals and offering their own thoughtful critiques.

He worked at many places, from cleaning offices, to working at restaurants until he eventually became a business owner, operating a small store in Riverside County until 2019. He was devoted to his family and placed them above all else.

He is survived by his wife, Rosario Herrera; 5 children, ten grandchildren and one great grandchild

En sus momentos de tranquilidad, le gustaba armar rompecabezas y ver películas. Formó una extensa colección de películas que abarcaba comedias, dramas y acción, y siempre tenía una recomendación lista—aunque a menudo revelaba el final de la película, a su familia nunca le molestaban sus “spoilers”.

Era conocido por su espíritu cálido y generoso. Feliciano tenía un gran amor por los animales y, a lo largo de los años, brindó hogar y cuidado a muchos animales callejeros. Su bondad, sentido del humor y su capacidad para ver lo bueno en los demás le permitieron formar amistades duraderas—cualidades que mantuvo hasta sus últimos días.

Tenía algunos rasgos distintivos que lo hacían inconfundible: su gusto por vestir su color favorito, el amarillo, y su costumbre de llenar cualquier espacio con música. En momentos más tranquilos, él y su esposa disfrutaban explorar nuevos restaurantes juntos, compartiendo comidas y ofreciendo sus propias críticas.

Trabajó en diversos oficios, desde la limpieza de oficinas hasta empleos en restaurantes, hasta que finalmente se convirtió en propietario de un negocio, operando una pequeña tienda en el condado de Riverside hasta 2019. Fue un hombre profundamente dedicado a su familia, a quienes siempre puso por encima de todo.
