We didn't have enough time to be with you and your family because we are far away from each other. But memories of yesteryears will always remain in our hearts. I still recall those memorable days when your family vacationed here in the Philippines. You and your sister, Christine, were then very young and looked so innocent. My children were excited to see you because it was their first time meeting you in person. You enjoyed playing with them even for just a short time. Days passed so quickly, and the next time you visited here, I guess you were in your 20s. Oh! I was really surprised to see a good-looking young man, and that was you♥️ Memorable pictures were kept and shared by your aunt, Sis Kits. Happy faces were in the pictures as proof of the happiness felt by every member of our family. For all of these things, we thank God for giving us the time to be with you and your family. Francis, thank you for those happy memories you shared with us. We will always cherish these moments... Prayers for you and your family. We love you, Francis, and truly we will miss you. Recently, I have seen pictures of our childhood years with our Kuya Francis. The bright smiles on our faces, the innocent look of our grins that melts a heart. I sensibly look at the cute and similar faces of us cousins sitting together in a humble couch. The tatak “Cruz” image is iconic of our identical faces, white skin color, the ear-to-ear grin—even a stranger could not distinguish if we are siblings or cousins.
  	His visit to the Philippines might be seldom but the memories of our childhood ultimately become a lifelong memory of Kuya Francis. It is only now that we know the real value of the things that make us sad, that makes us smile and the reasons of our giggles while we do not understand these things in our childhood.
The eldest apo in the Cruz family, I know that our Kuya Francis chose no worries, no stress and he chose to be another angel with Uncle Serg. 
Uncle Serg’s eyes remind me of my father, so caring and kind while Kuya Francis face, reminds me of calmness that encourages mindfulness. As another angel in heaven, Kuya Francis will peacefully watch over and pray for us.
His visits in the country where fast and short but his memories and love for his parents and sister will never last. Being the eldest, I have never experienced having a kuya and I also regret that my family was not able to facilitate having a U.S Visa earlier. There are many “I should have’s” on my head. There are many regrets of not being able to schedule video calls with Kuya Francis to reach out. Still, behind the “what ifs” is the certainty that God’s plan for Kuya Francis is written in Jeremiah 29:11-14 : “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.”
 Kuya Francis, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words, and missed beyond measure. Your beautiful spirit has traveled away, but will remain in our hearts.

My dearest cousin, Kuya Francis, it broke my heart  upon hearing of your untimely demise, the sadness I felt when I lost my Papa came back all over again,  though we are not siblings I treated you as my very own brother, one of my family. You will always be in my thoughts and prayers kuya.

Francis and I weren't really friends in school, in fact we picked on each other a little, the way pre-teens do. But the truth was that I had a little crush on him for a few years. I remember in middle school when he started playing basketball and got really skinny-- I was jealous of him, then. 
I only saw him a few times as we got older, but my memories of him as an adult are of a nice and quiet young man. My most heartfelt condolences on the loss of Francis-- he will not be forgotten.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of Brother Francis. The love for your son and the memories you shared are a legacy that will always continue to live on through you.

The very short time we were associated with Francis, we witnessed how he demonstrated his love and support to his family. Deep sadness (no matter what caused it) is a silent killer that can strike anyone, regardless of age, background, or circumstances. Unfortunately, it took the life of a young man who was full of promise and potential. His passing was a shock to his loved ones and friends, who remembered him as a quiet, kind, young man. We will never know what went wrong. Francis may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. While Francis' life was cut short, his legacy lives on through the memories and stories of those who knew him. Dina and Kristine, I am sad because I won’t be able to see nor talk to Francis anymore. I keep remembering how frequently I babysat Francis, a handsome and well-behaved boy. My husband and I have good memories of Francis enjoying with the family at camping and weekend or holiday trips.
When I heard about Francis getting depressed about losing his Dad, I talked to him about praying and staying strong. I prayed for him and Dina everyday, asking God to send the Holy Spirit to comfort him and give him peace of heart and peace of mind. I was happy to learn from him that he has recently accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior and that he’s joined a church with a very caring pastor and fellow believers. I was very happy that Dina has been supportive of him and also became a member of the church who believes in Jesus Christ as the Savior and Lord. Although I feel sad that he is no longer with us, I am comforted to know that he is in a better place. I believe he is in heaven as promised in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”
I’m so sorry that my husband’s situation right now does not allow me to drive as far as your place but be assured that you are in my thoughts and prayers and can call  me anytime. I love you.

I can still remember your last visit to the Philippines, and this photo awakens poignant feelings of our happy vacation days. It was memorable; you were such a genuine person with a kind heart and a pure soul. You were indeed an epitome of a first-born cousin, as I felt how responsible you were while sharing your experiences in the U.S. With that, thank you for everything you shared, the laughter and stories that I reminisce about nowadays.

Dear Francis Gil,
I could remember way back year 1990 when you were a little boy, I enjoyed taking care of you and accompanying you with Kristine to kindergarten; we used to go out in your favorite  fast food 'Mc Donald", sometimes going out to other beautiful places with your family. It was a pleasure swimming together  in your family pool. 

My vacation before of every four years from Colombia was: I see to it that I passed by to USA just to be with your family. Staying and accompanying you at home which I felt joy and fulfilled after going back to my destination.

Another thing which we highly appreciated are your untiring values you possess like: for being innocent boy, silent type personality, empathy,  obedience to parents and most of all your honesty and charitable attitude to the needy.
I will never forget those principles you own. In these you will always remain alive forever to my heart. 

We have our own mission to comply and accomplish: Faith and Love above all to our Heavenly Father. I want to be always with the family but because of my calling, then life must go on to carry out.

I know you are now happy together with your Dad and our Father in heaven.

I am proud to say that I've had the privilege of knowing Francis during part of his journey on this earth. I met him through his mother Dina.  Francis often traveled with his mother here and there to ensure her safety while out and about.  Francis and I became close as his mother and I mostly attended the same activities. Francis possessed a calm yet pleasant demeanor.  I was the total opposite.  So, of course I had to try to find his wild side by engaging in long conversations.  That's what I'll miss the most, our long conversations.  My family really loved Francis.  One of the most memorable times we spent together was when Francis treated our family to lunch.  It was so much fun my granddaughters are still talking about it.   I just want to thank the Lord for sharing Francis with us.  Though our time together was short, it was memorable.  He'll be dearly missed.  Our hearts go out to his family during these sad times.

My cousin, Francis, is a cherished member of our family. Known for his quiet, respectful, and courteous nature, Francis touched the lives of all who knew him.

One of my most unforgettable memories with Francis was during my first visit to California in 2015 with my kids. His kind heart shone through as he graciously drove us back and forth to Legoland without any complaints, creating wonderful memories that will always be cherished. His selfless nature and willingness to help others have made a lasting impression on me, which I will always treasure.

The last time my family saw Francis was during his Thanksgiving mass, just a Sunday before his passing. It was a moment filled with hope and prayer, never imagining it would be our final meeting. When I asked what I could do for him, his only request was for our prayers. We have since been fervently praying for his comfort and good health, but despite our heartfelt prayers, he has left us. Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we trust in God's greater plan, believing that there is a divine purpose behind everything. We find comfort in the thought that Francis is now at peace, embraced in a better place.

I know that families are forever. We take solace in knowing that Francis is now reunited with his father, Tito Sergio, in a place of peace and happiness. Though your physical presence is deeply missed, Francis, our hearts are filled with hope that we will see each other again in the next life.

Rest in peace, dear Francis. Your memory will live on in our hearts, and your spirit will always be a part of us. We will carry your love and kindness with us, finding comfort in the memories you left behind. Until we meet again.

It’s Hard to come to acceptance that you passed. & with much grief in my heart I write this. Though my time with you was short I appreciated every moment we got to spend together. You are more than just a sheep in God Flock, but you are also my brother and friend . And the memories/moments I have with you will forever be my  treasure as I cherish them. I know Francis coz he  is the only son of my good friends Dina and Sergio. 
He is a quiet but so intellengent person and very courteous as well. He will always bow and smile everytime he meets people he know.

It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to Francis Cruz. The news of his passing has left a profound sadness.

Francis was a quiet soul, yet his kindness spoke volumes. Despite his reserved nature, I had the privilege of crossing paths with him on numerous occasions. I remember how Francis would often come into the office, going about his tasks with a quiet determination. Whether he was working independently or lending a helping hand to his mom and others, his dedication and sincerity never went unnoticed. It was in these moments that I caught glimpses of his true essence – a compassionate soul with a heart of gold.

What struck me most about Francis was his warmth and openness. Despite his initial reserve, he would light up with enthusiasm whenever we engaged in conversation. I cherish the memories of our exchanges, his genuine interest in learning about my work, and the genuine camaraderie.

Though Francis may no longer be with us, his presence will forever live in our hearts. My deepest condolences go out to his family during this difficult time. Francis is a quite person and I always see him helping his mom in doing her business and driving her without any complain. I have been with them for almost daily in 3 to 4 months building our business, and Francis played a vital role in making his mom successful entrepreneur.  We will miss Francis but I believed he is in a better place now in the hands of our Creator.

I didn’t get to know you really well because I just knew you lately but in a short period of time I can truly tell that you are a “VERY” person. I said very because I would describe you as a very quite person but willing to answer if you have questions. You are very caring and very loving not only to your mom but also to everyone around you. Very kind, giving and very smart person. I will never forget that you helped and assisted me to do my online class. You are very patient and passionate of what you are doing. Very sensitive that you are always aware about the feelings of other people. I remember one time when we went to Panera you whispered to your mom and said “asked her if she wants anything” and Ate Dina began to ask me if I need something to eat. I heard that, I just stayed quite but I felt how concerned you were. I can say that you have a pure heart that you will never ask anything in return. 

You are a very great person Francis and I want you to know that I appreciated every little thing you did. You will be missed greatly and will be remembered forever. As a friend I am at peace that you are already in God’s hand. May you find eternal life.

My deepest condolences for the sudden loss of Kuya Francis.  It was 14 years ago since our last conversation and I remember how ecstatic we were about plans of having a family reunion and visiting us,his cousins here in the Philippines someday. As I write this letter, I can not help but to shed tears,thinking that these will no longer happen. Although I cannot understand why it happened but I still believe God will help us heal.

I am saddened by the sudden passing of Francis.
He will be greatly missed.  I know that you will find it difficult to let him go because he was like your shadow.  He was always with you whereever you went.

I am struggling to find the right words to express my grief & sadness upon learning of the untimely passing of Francis.  He was like a son to me, ever since I came to America & became part of the Cruz Family, I was drawn to Francis’ passion for video games, & as he grow older, he remained diligent & kind person.  Although I eventually moved out to live w/ my own family, I maintained a strong bond with Francis & the Cruz Family through phone calls & special occasions.  Francis always greeted me w/ warm smile & grateful heart, & my parting words to him were always take care of himself & his mom. Before I flew to the Philippines that was at the end of January, I had  the opportunity to see Francis, visit him at there home w/ his mom, & even bring some foods.  He seemed eager to return to work & told me how much he missed driving.  I reassured him that everything would be okey in time, but I never expected that would be the last conversation we would have.  Francis’ passing has left me hurting & tearful but I find solace in the fact that he is now in loving embrace of our Savior, together w/ his dad.  Francis you will be missed & will always be in my heart.  Rest now in eternal peace, I love you.

But yeah, God has taken back a good soul now. He earned an angel named Francis. 

All I can say is passing and absence is part of God's greater plan. 
Absence and death of our loved ones make the heart wonder. It makes us reconnect with the past and asked for a replay. Maybe his mom and us his family want to ask for another year with him. Maybe his loved ones want to ask for a Motion for Extension to Live. But God the judge of heaven and earth denied the motion. (sorry it's a bit legalist) 
Well life is not retroactive.  Sadly, we cannot bring Francis back to life. But his memory will remain in our hearts and minds. Hope to meet you soon Francis not now but when the time is right.   May we pray for strength and wisdom for auntie Dina and Kristine.

May we extend our deepest sympathy to your family. FAMILIES ARE FOREVER. After this life you shall see Francis Gil again. Love you.
