Francisco S. Simoes

Francisco Simoes was born on Sept. 29, 1947 in Terceira Azores. He was one of six children. In 1971 he decided to move to America. Eventually he returned to Terceira to marry the love of his life, Fatima Diniz. On September 16, 1973 they married surrounded by family and friends in their homeland of Terceira. Francisco returned to America with Fatima to start their new life. Together they had four beautiful children: Frank Jr., Diana, David and Anna. Watching them grow and flourish was the true joy of his life and they eventually gifted them with six wonderful grandchildren.

Today, Francisco Simoes is survived by his wife, four children, six grandchildren and one brother.

Our hearts are heavy with sadness to say that such an amazing, wonderful, loving, husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend has passed away on Wednesday July 20th 2016.

God saw you were getting tired

And a cure was not to be,

So he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.”

With tearful eyes, we watched you suffer and saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay.

A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest.

God broke our hearts to prove to us, he only takes the best.
