My fond memories of Aunt Gloria stem from my childhood and always  seeing my Aunt smiling when my family would visit her and Uncle’s Genaro’s and my cousins’ home, and at all our family get togethers. Indeed Aunt always had a kind word to tell you when she spoke to you. Aunt Gloria raised a beautiful family and my heart goes out to all my cousins. I know she is celebrating with Uncle Genaro and my dad Lorenzo and their brothers and sisters and all her family and friends. I will see you again Aunt Gloria! God with you❤️❤️❤️

Many childhood memories come flooding back as I recall the many occasions our Flores families gathered for various celebrations with my countless cousins. Memories of Aunt Gloria include her constant smile, engaging with us kids (brats!) and her sense of style and glamour. It’s clear from early pictures of Aunt Gloria she’s always had this sense of style and poise. May she live on in eternal life! ❤️

My Beautiful memories of my aunt Gloria were so nice. She always told me how nice I looked and how Beautiful my kids are. And to always spend time with them that life is short. I loved to she her she dressed so glamorous and wore perfume that was Mello but good. She was so sharp and remembered the pass so well and would talk highly of my mom, even at our family reunion she would tell her husband this is Gina Celia's only child and how much she loved my mom.
Gloria you were so special  and may you have fun in Heaven with my mom and rest of family.


Aunt Gloria was my grandmother's sister. I never met my grandmother so she was the closet thing to her. She always made sure she was in my mom's life and would send her birthday cards every year she never forgot. She always made sure she went to our kids birthday parties also. She always had old pictures to show us of our family. She was a sweet and wise woman who love to talk and had a good sense of humor. I always admired how active she was for her age. I'm glad she lived a long and healthy life. Rest in peace Aunt Gloria we love you and you will be missed. 💖🌈🕊️🙏💐

When I first met Gloria, I remember that she was a lovely woman, welcoming and gracious, and her smile was sincere.

Several years later, I remember when she traveled to Queens, New York with John’s brother, sister-in-law and their two young children.  They came to visit us in our apartment.  One afternoon, we all decided to take the subway into New York City and do a little touristing.  We walked all over The City on foot for hours, window shopping, sightseeing, stopping to sample New Yorker food from an “All You Can Eat’s Buffet”.  Even though Gloria was in her mid-seventies at the time, she kept up with us all, was full of energy, and never complained.

Her tenacity and spunk impressed me when a day or two later she helped us move some of our belongings.  We were in the process of moving into our newly purchased cabin in the woods of southern Vermont, and Gloria wanted to help, and to see it for herself,  She also wanted to see our beautiful stream, which runs the length of our property and is located down a steep hill.  She was determined and convinced that she could hike down and back up the hill herself, without anyone helping her, and that she did.

In so many ways, Gloria was an amazing woman!  I suspect much of John’s determination, his energy, and his ‘I can do it’ attitude was given to him by his Mom.

Peace Go With You Gloria.  Thank you for welcoming me into your family, and for all the love and sincerity you brought to us.  Thank you too, for always signing the bottom of every birthday card you sent to me, “With Love, Mom”.

My fondest memories of Aunt Gloria is when she use to tell me stories about my grandma Mary her youngest sister.  I never meet my grandma so when I would speak to Aunt Gloria it felt like was talking to my grandmother.  Aunt Gloria was always  so full of joy and happiness.  I’m going to miss her.  I love you Aunt Gloria, may you rest in paradise. ❤️

Aunt Gloria will be greatly missed. I loved hearing her stories of the past. She was a great story teller. She always remembered my birthday and I loved opening her birthday cards. She wrote the best cards! She was a truly great woman and I will miss her smile. 

I was always happy to see my aunt Gloria (my mother was Mary her sister), I loved listening to the stories she told me from the past when she was young. One was at the skating ring  in Lincoln Heights when she would go with her white friends and they told her she couldn’t go in cause Wednesday was Mexican night only so her friends said “if she can’t go in we are not going in either “! I will miss her smile &  kindness. Rest In Peace until we meet again in paradise 🌹❤️🙏

My mom and I go back a long time, way back.  One of my earliest memories of my mom was when I was about 3 years old.  She was putting my shoes on and told me to take care of them because they were expensive.  All of us (my sisters, Veronica and Sylvia) were well dressed in those days.  Another memory of my mom and me was my first day of school.  We lived across street from Rowan Avenue School.  She insisted on walking me to school on the first day, but I wanted to go by myself (I was experienced roaming the neighborhood by the time I was ready to go to school).  Of course, I was immaculately dressed for my first day of school.  When we arrived at the entrance gate,  my mom gave me a big kiss on my cheek.  She was wearing red lipstick and it was all over my face.  I said, “Mom.”  I looked around to see if any kids had see her kissing me, and off I went.  I remember my mom using us (my sisters and me) as guinea pigs when it came to trying out new recipes.  Most the meals were delicious, except for the ‘nopales a la  mexicana’.  I dreaded eating the cactus because it was the nastiest tasting thing I ever had eaten.   I’d throw fits refusing to eat it, but I had to eat it if I wanted to go out and play.  Every time I knew my mom was going to make that dish, I start freaking out.  Later on in life, someone in one of our families made the dish and I liked it! 
There are thousands of memories of my mom, my dad, my brothers and sisters, and all the adventures we experienced together.  Of course, my aunts, uncles and cousins, they are all memories of my mom.  It was a once in a life time experienced, and I am grateful for meeting my mom in this life time, and for her love.  We will meet again.

When I think of Gloria, it's with a smile. She was a happy, contented person. She loved her family and friends fiercely. Gloria showed me her love by being delighted when we contacted one another, or by finding out what's happening in my life, or by telling me a story that ended with a laugh. This gentle connection bound me to her for many years. She found me again and again, even when I couldn't remember to find anyone. I miss Gloria and I know she rests contentedly, true to her nature. 

I always remember you smiling, joking and how happy you were.  It was contagious.  You knew my father and had some nice stories about him.  I know you will be missed Gloria, very fondly Joan David 

I’ll always reminder how sweet Gloria was .. she would make special trip to my brother and Sylvia’s house  when ever we were in from Chicago!  We laughed a lot ! I was amazed that she was still driving in her 90’s ! She will be missed .. my condolences to my sister in law brother Dan and  to the family .. with Love Terri 

I shall always remember Gloria, she was beautiful, dressed nice, had a great sense of humor, lovable & a great laugh. One time during our annual Flores Familia Potluck/Picnic , my granddaughter Aurelia loved your large summer brim  hat 👒 ! You took it off your head & put it on her head & told her, “here mija, it is yours”. Once again, thank you so much, my granddaughter told me later on, what a wonderful & nice auntie & meeting me for the first time  today.   God bless w/ a lot of Besitos, too.🌹🌹🌹
