

Daughter of the late Henry and Adriana Motshagen, Jeanne entered into eternal rest on February 11, 2016 at the age of 83 in the presence of her loved ones. Jeanne was born in Huntington Park in Los Angeles County on March 7, 1932. She moved at a young age to the Bellflower area where she met and married Cornelius De Jong in 1950. The couple relocated to Corona in 1958 and raised their four children on the family dairy. In 1989, the couple moved into town and Jeanne could often be found tending to her roses and gardenias. She loved being a homemaker, spending time baking and all manner of travel-especially to Alaska. In the fall of 2015, she made one final move to Glendora where she shared a home with her youngest daughter. Jeanne was a charter member of First United Reformed Church in Chino and had a passion for the hymns. Jeanne is survived by her children Anne Smith (Ron), Judith Verkaik (Leo), Charles De Jong (Monique), and Corrine De Jong; grandchildren Erik, Eugene (Mandy), Edward (Nina), Casey, and Stephanie; several Great-grandchildren; and one sister Gertrude Hilt. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Cornie and infant son; three grandchildren Nick Coleman, Sarah and Baby Boy De Jong; sisters Alida Hop, Janet De Boer, Rena Hoekstra, Adriana Motshagen; and brothers Peter Motshagen and John Motshagen.
A time of viewing will be offered on Wednesday 17 February 2016 from 5:00pm-8:00pm at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial Park (11500 Arlington Ave, Riverside, CA 92505). The funeral services will begin with graveside services at the cemetery, Pierce Brothers, on Thursday 18 February at 10:00am. Church Services will begin at 12:00pm and will be held in the First United Reformed Church, 6159 Riverside Dr., Chino, 91710.
