He leaves behind his loving wife, Zeferina Solis Voss; his daughter, Evette Swinson; his grandchildren, Giselle DeMarco, Rachel Jacinto, and Chris Swinson; 7 great-grandchildren; and many other loved ones.
He was born in Mobile, Alabama, on October 5, 1928, the son of Henry Voss and Eugenie Rosson, where he was raised on the family farm. He later graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in agricultural economics. He later joined the Air Force where he served his country for 25 years and eventually retired as a Major. After retiring, he then went on to a successful career in real estate with Realty Executives and as a business owner in Riverside.
His first wife, Eva Irene Voss, passed in 1993, but Henry was lucky to have a second chance at love. Henry and Zeferina met in 1997, where they fell in love and had many wonderful adventures together. He and Zeferina Solis Voss married on December 27, 2005, where they were happily married for 15 years and together for a total of 23 years.
Zeferina was by his side and lovingly took care of him for the remaining days of his life. He cherished her as his “angel from Heaven.”
Henry was a generous husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he enjoyed watching the Dodgers and the Lakers with friends and family. He is remembered by many in the community as a bright, witty, and caring person. As many think of him, they reflect and remember he was a good man, a shining example of excellence.
