

JAMES THOMAS BRADING Born May 12, 1951 to Frances Evelyn and Wilmer Marion Brading Sr. in Indio, CA, passed away May 18th 2011 from stage III Multiple Myeloma. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Connie, two daughters Cathy (Mike) Burgess, Lisa Brading, two grandchildren Johnathan and Caitlyn Burgess, a brother Wilmer (Darla) Brading Jr., half brother Jim Brading of Indiana and countless close friends. James attended Bryant Elementary, Central Middle School, North High School (Class of 1969), and received his BS degree at University of California at Riverside. James was a peace (police) officer with the Riverside Police Dept. for almost 35 years, where he served as patrolman, detective and sergeant. Although a public servant by profession, he also had a concurrent career as a cement contractor and has left behind hundreds of monuments to his trade. He also attended the First Christian (Disciples of Christ) Church for many years. James was a hard working man, beloved by many for his kindness and compassion. He was always willing to lend a hand and expected nothing in return. He is deeply missed by all. Services will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2011, 1pm at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Ave., Riverside, CA 92504.
