Es difícil poder asimilar que ya no está entre nosotros, todo fue tan sorpresivo,  Nos deja muchas alegrías y buenos momentos, siempre con sus bromas y tratando de animar todas las fiestas ❤️ Siempre lo recordaré como el gran esposo, el buen padre y el súper abuelo que era, nuestro más sentido pésame para ustedes, Hilda-  quisiera estar con usted y abrazarla fuerte, muy fuerte.

I will never forget that you were the person that brought Joan and I together so we would be able to connect as sisters. You took us into you're home and made us feel normal. You always  being a loving caring husband and father and to us an uncle. A person that we could laugh with cry with and a person we could talk to. Saying goodbye has been so difficult. So many great memories.  You will be dearly missed. So many things un said so many things un done so many more memories left to do. With a great whole in my heart I say until we meet again. Love you Tio Hugo. May you rest in peace. I know you are looking down at all of us with a bottle in one hand and a shot glass in another wondering when will be taking shots. The picture attached is from Curiel Reunion 2012. It shows how funny and corky you were always!! We will surely miss you.

Where to begin what to say, We have so much to say yet not enough words to describe what we would like to. You meant so much to us (Chato & Me) my kids, two of which were your godchildren. We talked and shared some fond memories, all which were things that made us smile (: and realized that  we will never experience that again in this lifetime. We then had a shot of tequila in your honor.  We will cherish those fond memories close to our hearts 💙

 I know you are looking over my comadre and your family and I pray that they find comfort in knowing you have not left them just gone from this physical world.   

You know if I could ask you a favor can give my mom a hug from me.  I’m sure you two could have another dance off in Heaven and you can tell me who won one day when God calls me back home too.

Es muy dificil aceptar que Tio Hugo no esta fisicamente con nosotros. En realidad es una trajedia que nos deja vacios y enojados. Y es en este momento que recuerdo una de muchas conversaciones en cual me abrio mi mente y me dijo... "Está bien estar triste y decepcionado, pero estar enojado nunca trae nada bueno. Es imposible sentir bondad y rabia al mismo tiempo". Mi esposo y yo estamos muy agrecidos por tener momentos con el porque nos dio el consejo mas grande que necesitabamos en ese tiempo. Es imposible no estar triste...su ausencia duele pero su recuerdo siempre nos hará sonreir. Con mucho cariño a la familia Curiel le mandamos un gran abrazo con nuestros mas sentindo pésame.

What can i say that anybody that had the honor to meet you already knows. My whole childhood was going to your house for my summer vacation you taking everyone weather they were your kids or not to the river to play baseball to play charades to help you start a pool project and never finish it😜. You were always the life in every party weather it was a baby shower or wedding you brought that extra light to last until the last person left. We will miss you but we will never forget you tio. Great grief is the consequence of great love. We love you so much and so we now have to bear this incredible grief.

The love, acceptance, and open arms you offered us all, that is your legacy. That so many nieces and nephews could see you as a second father, says so much. You've always been like the other side of the coin to my own dad, like a twin. 

My heart aches thinking about how much I still had to share with you. I pray there is a place you are still watching and loving us from. To think that you are really gone is more than I can accept.

Words can not express the sadness I feel and the emptiness in my heart. Even though we physically lost a strong, charismatic, caring, loving and life of the party father, uncle, brother, compadre, godfather and friend; I am at peace knowing that we have gained a guardian angel.

Tio Hugo what can I say other than im truely devistated by what is actually going on and what im really doing right now. It only means one thing, You are no longer here physically with us anymore. As I write this I cant stop my tears from falling down my face. You where a great inspiration to me and i know my brothers as well. You showed us what unconditional love really feels like ,when you would pick us up and include us in every event without a question or a complain. You took it oppound yourself to even move Mom and all her kids to a different city just for us to have a better life. That to me is something i hold dearly in my heart. It shows me and many others the type of heart and person you truly where. Its unfortunate that now you are gone and in The Heavens Now. But I know you will protect your family as our Angel above. My heart hurts that you are gone and I am still in disbelief. Thank you for being the best dad a girl could ask for. I am greatful and was so blessed to have had the oppotunity to have been your daughter.
