

LESLIE DELLARO, Age 73, died peacefully at home in Riverside, CA, June 17th, 2021. She was born in Queens Hospital, Manhattan, New York. She was predeceased by her parents Murray and Billie Axel and daughter Elizabeth (Liz) Dellaro. She is survived by her son Michael Dellaro, her grandson Michael Lee Moore, her brother Stephen Axel and sister Deborah Lagomarsino, as well as cousins on the East Coast. Leslie was graduated from Riverside North High School in 1996, and attended RCC in Riverside. She was graduated from Chico State University in 1970 with a BA in Social Welfare. She worked at the California Institute for Women from 1970-1972 and was a correctional officer with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department for 11 years. After having parents with green thumbs, Leslie began and ran a successful business selling organic plants and vegetables for 15 years. She supplied several Riverside restaurants with her produce. In between growing seasons, Leslie worked for the Riverside Unified School District as a substitute teacher. Leslie loved to travel and worked as a part-time travel agent. Her favorite form of travel was on cruise ships. In Leslie's youth, she enjoyed singing in the choir at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Riverside. Leslie was both a member and president of the Raincross Exchange Club of Riverside for over 18 years She also worked with Para Niños and was a member of the Red Hat Society of Riverside. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a future date at Garden of Prayer (Acheson and Graham) . Leslie loved all animals, especially horses and dogs.
