Linda Joyce Williams passed away following her second battle with breast cancer on June 17, 2018 in Fontana, CA. She was born on May 11, 1958 in Loma Linda, CA, and grew up in Camarillo, CA, where she graduated from Adolfo Camarillo High School in 1975. She attended Cal Baptist University, where she met her future husband of 36 years, Bill Williams, and graduated with a bachelor’s degree and teaching credentials. Linda began her teaching career in 1981 in Moreno Valley Unified School District before getting married in 1982 and eventually landing in the Alta Loma School District, where she taught for 20+ years. She spent most of those years as a Kindergarten teacher, and has been beloved by every class she has taught.
Linda earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Chapman University in 2005, and later that year began her first battle with breast cancer. She was declared cancer-free in 2006, and returned to her Kindergarten students and her church family, where she changed the lives of everyone she met for the next twelve years. Linda’s kindness, joy, and faith shone through in everything she did, and she will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to spend time with her. Linda is survived by her husband, Bill Williams, her children, Kari and Dario Williams-Vazquez, Brian and Jenn Williams, and Melissa Williams, her grandchildren, Cole Bietsch and Adella Williams, her mother, Peggy McCasland, and her siblings, Ed and Bob McCasland and Sue Linden.
