

LOUISE EMERSON Louise Bonnett Emerson died in her home after a brief illness on Friday, July 29th. She was born to Edward Mortimer Bonnett Jr. and Marie Bonnett on October 20th, 1926 in Riverside. She spent her childhood roaming the family's orange groves and spending time with her cousins at the family's beach and mountain properties. She graduated from Riverside Polytechnic High School in 1945 and received a degree in kinesiology from UCLA. Louise taught physical education classes in the Riverside Unified School District for 25 years. She married Sidney Wayne Emerson in 1950 and raised a family of five children. Louise was an energetic and inspirational person and in addition to teaching and raising a family she was an avid gardener and volunteer around town. She was a member of the Riverside Junior League, volunteered at the Riverside Public Library and Riverside Museum, UC Riverside Botanic garden as well as spending time to spruce up landscape and plant flowers at the Calvary Presbyterian church. She enjoyed traveling and getting together with friends to play bridge. Louise is survived by her sons Keith of Talent Oregon, Tom of Lyons Colorado, and her daughters Cindy Stevens of Riverside, Sue Porter of Lake Isabella and Tricia Bashaw of Newport Beach. Memorial services will be held at the Calvary Presbyterian Church at 10am on Friday, August 12th.
