

A trailblazer in the travel industry, Lydia devoted over 41 years to helping others explore the world and create lifelong memories. As a highly respected business owner and an active member of the Palm Desert Chamber of Commerce, she not only built a thriving career but also cultivated a vibrant community around her. Many who first met Lydia as clients soon discovered her gift for connection and friendship, walking away as family.
Lydia’s life was a testament to warmth, integrity, and generosity of spirit. She had an unmatched ability to make people feel valued, welcomed, and loved. Her devotion to her work, her community, and her family served as an inspiring example of perseverance, compassion, and grace.
She is preceded by her husband Manuel Cota and son Daniel Cota.\She is survived by her devoted daughter, five beloved grandchildren, ten cherished great-grandchildren, her sister,Olga Flores, and a circle of loving nieces and treasured great-nephews. To her family and friends, she was not only a guiding light but also a source of comfort, wisdom, and joy.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer Mortuary, 7944 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, California 92504.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Lydia’s memory be made to, The American Heart Association if desired, honoring her lifelong commitment to giving back.
Though Lydia has departed this world, her legacy of caring, friendship, and unwavering dedication will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. She leaves behind not only memories but also a shining example of what it means to live a life of purpose, love, and connection.
