I did not have the opportunity to know Manuel very long. When I was in his presence he struck me as a very kind and loving man. I met him a few times.  In one of them I had the pleasure to celebrate his 88th birthday! Also, along with his birthday I remember his wife's birthday was being celebreted! I was able to meet his oldest son, Mario and his grand-daughter, Heather who came from Colorado.  We all shared a very joyful & peaceful time together as a family!

When I attended his funeral, I heard many stories about his close family ties. From the testimonial I heard from friends and family was a great father and  man I wish I had known better. 

Dear grandpa as much as we loved & continue to love you for you will forever live in our hearts. You couldn't stay with us because God wanted you home! Grandpa all of the family is comforting grandma. It has been so HARD for all of us, but especially for her. You were the love of her life. 
That's why I try my best to take care of grandma it's just I wish she will be okay without you grandpa now that you are with God and Jesus Christ! I LOVE YOU GRANPA😙😗😢😭

Before I met my good friend Ruth I actually met her father Manuel. We lived in the same community and he was always smiling, friendly and spreading the loving word of God. He was a man who loved the Lord and his family. I would engage on spiritual conversations with him and he would always encourage me to read the scriptures. After a while he wouldn't come out as much and I would miss seeing him around. My most sincere condolences to the family. May they find strength knowing that he is now in a better place resting with the Lord whom he loved here on earth and now has the privilege to rest in His arms in heaven.


A nuestro hermano Manuel Antonio Herrera por fe en Cristo Jesus Jesus dijo en la casa de mi padre muchas moradas hay voy pues a preparar lugar para vosotros para que donde yo estoy vosotros tambien esteis, nuestro hermano Manuel eligio el buen camino que conduce al Padre Celestial el en vida predico el Santo Evangelio  Y hablo la palabra predicando a JesuCristo como salvador personal de nuestras almas a su familia les hablo a sus hijos, hijas, nietos y nietas y a muchas personas mas.


El peleo la buena batalla acabo su carrera guardo la fe ahora le espera la corona de justicia la cual le dara el Señor y no solo a el si no tambien a todos aquellos que amemos su venida.  El esta con el Señor alabando y glorificando dia y noche con sus Santos Angeles que privilegio tan grande para el ; yo doy gracias DIOS por ser abuelito de mis hijos Mike y Christopher Herrera. Siempre estara en nuestra memoria y en nuestros corazones para SIEMPRE. Que DIOS les bendiga a todos y cada uno en la familia , mi deceo de todo corazon.

I met Ruth's dad when her son, Jonathan was about 2.5 months of age on Independence day! I remember inviting Ruth at big Calvary Chapel for an Independence day event.
 I still remember Mr. Herrera  walking around preaching the word of God.
As stated to Ruth, "I wrote this from my heart." This weeks study was just what The doctor ordered from Pastor Brian’s study.  It showed the Ethiopian eunuch being preached to.
Mr. Herrera, Ruth's dad was a preacher after God’s heart.  I sensed God’s Holy Spirit strongly on his life.  I am happy that Jonathan had the privilege to know him as Grandpa and to have that special role model in his life. All that he sewed in Jonathan's Life will not to return void, but will bear much fruit that will continue.
I pray for the Herrera family and that they are doing okay.
I Love you and I am praying for peace. 😄 For JESUS is the PRINCE OF PEACE!!

Manuel was a devoted man to God and his teachings and way of life.  He loved to share his beliefs and the word of God to anyone that would  listen. He was a true and devoted man of God. Which was first in his life. Then next came his family and everything else came last.  Now we celebrate the life of Manuel and all his years here on earth.  As he celebrates the rest of his life and the rest of time in heaven.  Where we shall all be reunited someday.

Manuel mi esposo fuistes mi primer amor y te AMARÉ toda mi Vida me haces falta mi amor! 
Te tendré en mí mente y corazón toda mi vida. Te entregué todo mi amor y con esto te llevastes la mitad de mí corazón. Y con está entrega total tuvimos á nuestros hijos. Qué han sido la BENDICIÓN más grande de Díos. Nuestro Padrecito Celestial sin duda qué nos bendició con unos hijos de buen y GRAN corazón. Tú fuistes un buen padre ejemplar. Fuistes no nada más un buen esposo y padre, pero fuiestes un BUEN hijo ejemplar. Tú llevastes esa carga total en apoyar á tú propia Madre y hermanos desde temprana edad ya que tomastes la posición de tú padre una ves qué él falleció. 
Éste es la razón y el motivó el porqué Díos derramó BENDICIONES á nuestro matrimonio; y ésto incluye á Nuestros hijos! Ésa bendición única debido á está escritura:Deuteronomio 5:16 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960)
Honra a tu padre y a tu madre, como Jehová tu Dios te ha mandado, para que sean prolongados tus días, y para que te vaya bien sobre la tierra que Jehová tu Dios te da.
Tú obediencia a Díos es el fruto de tu larga vida y BENDICIONES.
 
Recuerdo qué después de 23 años de trabajar en la Cel ó él gobierno cómo electricista te fracturaste la columna vértebral. Luego después de una larga recuperación trabajastes duró en sembrar elote, pepinos, tomates, frijoles, chiles etc. Esto también incluye los sacrificios que hicimos para tener ganado para sacarnos adelanté. Los dos luchamos juntos para sacar adelanté a nuestros hijos! Fuistes un esposo y un padre único y ejemplar. 
Fuistes un padre responsable y ejemplar con nuestros hijos te agradezco mí amor de mí Vida!
Te llevare SIEMPRE en mí corazón mí amorcito! 
Mí amor yo tengo la CERTEZA qué NOS VEREMOS en la eternidad!

Tantos recuerdos lo que me encantaba de ti era tú sentido de humor....siempre fuiestes espontáneo y muy chistoso! Recuerdo cuándo té ponías mí ropa y empezábas a bailar y me hacias carcagear de tus locuras!

Siento mucho el que una persona maravillosa se halla ido; yo no lo conoci personalme te pero al oir todos los testimonios me di cuenta que fue una persona de buen corazòn y trataba de ayudar a las personas guìandolas  por el buen camino como es la palabra de Dios.
Fue buen hermano que desde pequeño trabajo duramente para sacar adelante a su familia. Fue buen esposo, buen padre, y buen abuelo y estoy segura que Dios lo tiene en el reino de los cielos.

Papa Manuel, One thing I will always remember is when we first met. It was at Tio Mario's house, during Christmas time and you pulled me over to the side. I was barely getting introduced to the family and it was strange a man just pulling me aside and you immediately started praising & preaching the Bible to me in Spanish. After that moment every moment we meet you pulled me to the side and just started preaching to me in Spanish the word of God.

I stood there lost and confused every time. You guided me in showing me, "God is going to be there with you no matter how lost you feel or how lost you are living in your life."

I thank you papa Manuel and am BLESSED to have been part of your family and meet you. Your family and friends all loved you for all the things you did for them and I appreciate every thing and you are a role model not just for me, but for others. Always keep you in prayers & keep interceding for me & us  from heaven!

Recuerdo lo bueno que mi hermano era con nosotros el siempre ayudó a nuestra madre con todo, de todos el fue el más honrado. Mi hermano llevo la carga de nuestro Padre hasta ya no poder. Toda la vida trabaje junto a mi hermano recuerdo la última vez después de retirarnos de la Cel nos fuimos a Santa Ana a cortar café por una semana, el día que llegamos hicimos nuestro ranchito y después me Dijo voy a ir a cortar unas naranjas no espérate le dije que ya va a venir el que vende el pan. Al fin de la semana el había ganado $150 pesos y yo $75 pesos SIEMPRE trabajaba lo doble y yo le pregunté como lo haces y el me dijo, "Con la ayuda De Dios"
Siempre recordaré a mi hermano y lo extraño y extrañare BASTANTE! TE LLEVARE SIEMPRE en mi Corazon hermanito!!

Una de los recuerdos que tengo de Don Manuel es que fue un gran trabajador. Aparte de ser un buen padre y esposo. Recuerdo que yo y Doña Juana, su esposa   chocabamos con nuestros embarasos. Nosotros eramos vecinos en nuestra Tierra Natal, El Salvador, San Salvador. Nuestros hogares estaban basicamente frente a frente. Fue muy LINDO con vivir ya que nuestros hijos crecieron juntos. Jugaban y peleaban como cualquier otro niño. La Familia Herrera es como NUESTRA familia ya que ni la distancia pudo separarnos. Nosotros venimos primero aqui a Los Estados Unidos y luego fueron ellos. Nuestra amistad a un siguio firme y continuo y florecio. Despues de toda una vida, aqui seguimos gracias a Dios.  Uno de los recuerdos que si tengo cuando viviamos en El Salvador es que por las tardes Don Manuel llegaba a su casa y siempre traía cargando manojos de frijoles en su hombro y otras cosas que con su proprio sudor habia sembrado. Tambien lo recuerdo como protector de sus hijos y su esposa, que lo equivale a un BUEN padre y esposo ejemplar. Y esto es que construyo el muro de su hogar alto para proteger a su familia!

January 21st, 2018 God reached down and called Manuel home to heaven to live with Him for eternity. I didn't have the honor of meeting this loving man of God, I experienced his character and love for God through his daughter Ruth. People say you can't tell your kids how to live; you live, and they pick up your actions, not your words. In Ruth see a devoted, loving, strong, mother & woman of God, I know that was the example she was shown to her in her household by both mother and father. 

Although we are saddened by the physical loss of Manuel here on earth I pray that you all seek comfort knowing "Death to the Christian is the funeral of all his sorrows and evils, and the resurrection, of all his joys." Know that "The pain that you've been feeling can't compare to the joy that is coming." Romans 8:18 I tell you the truth anyone who believes has eternal life. John6v47

I recall Mr. Herrera a kind man who always had a notepad and his bible in his hand. Each time, i saw him he would ask me to sit so he could speak the word of God. Very much commmited and devoted to God, his presence was very peaceful when you encountered him. I pray that he is at peace and resting amongst the angels and God. Fué un gran placer conocer a nuestro hermano Manuel y sobre todo un gran recuerdo del gran Amor que tuvo a nuestro Señor Jesucristo.  Sigamos ese Legado que Él nos dejó; continuar y terminar nuestra carrera como él lo hizo...Adelante!!!!

Yo lo cocí hace algunos años cuando en la iglesia living waters comenzó el ministerio de español y fue muy bello conocer a ese hermano en Cristo con un amor por la palabra de Dios y su pasión por divulgar el evangelio, nunca buscó él ningún  reconocimiento ni una silla preferencial para sentarse, más bien el se preocupaba por oír las buenas nuevas,EL EVANGELIO. Otra  cosa que me gustaba de el era su gran y sincera sonrisa, el siempre estaba feliz no importaba que. Realmente fue un placer conocerlo y ver esas semillas que el sembró florecer. Ahora sigo compartiendo y disfrutando de esa gran mujer y hermana en Cristo hna Juanita que fue su fiel esposa y compañera incansable. Hasta pronto hermano Manuel nos vemos en casa para las bodas de cordero.

Dear Mr. Herrera,  I first had the honor of meeting you in 1997, at your daughter Ruth's graduation from Rancho Santiago College. Although our meeting was brief, little did I know at the time you would be a significant part of my life. It was a few years later that we met again. The circumstances were different and I had more of an opportunity to meet you and be in your presence. I'll admit it was a little intimidating because I held Ruth in such high regard and I was sure that as her father you would expect nothing less of her friends. I was relieved when you made me feel welcomed. As time went on I was able to be in your presence more and more, sometimes having the opportunity to talk to you one on one. It was those conversations that enlightened me to the strength in which you walked in faith. Our conversations showed me how important it is to have the Lord guide you in life. I see you as an example of a man who walks strong in faith and with that faith laid the foundation to building a family to be proud of. I know you as a man, as a father, and as a grandfather and by God's good graces sir I can say you did an excellent job in bringing your family along. I am in admiration of you because you have set the bar high  and having the privilege of meeting you, you've shown me its not impossible. I've been blessed to have met you on two separate occasions Mr. Herrera, I know that if I get to meet you a third time, I would have done something right. Un recuerdo que tengo de Manuel Herrera es cuando cosechaba Tomate, elote, pepinos y frijoles aquí en El Salvador  y se llevaba sus hijos. Y también a mi Hijo Ernesto le enseño a trabajar y llevo a Reina al hospital cuando estaba embarazada de mi hija Menor un hombre Trabajador y sobre todo que amaba a mi Hermana Juana y eso para mi fue lo mejor que él hizo portarse bien con mi Hermana y con la familia! Siempre lo recordaremos como un gran Hombre de Dios!

Gracias suegro por avernos apoyados cuando mas necesitamos DE tu ayuda al cuidar DE tus Nietas Joanna jennifer y nathaly por q despues DE abuelo fuiste como su padre tambien mientras nosotros trabajavamos duro para q no less faltara el pan DE cada dia gracias DE nuevo suegro donde quiera q te encuentres sabes que siempre luche por q nada nos faltara en casa descansa en paz y vendisenos desde donde te encuentres gracias y q dios te DE la paz que te mereces y el lugar que ocupamos al final

Quiero expresar mis condolencias a la familia, yo no conoci personalmente a Don Manuel pero escuche que hacia la obra de Dios y que fue la gran bendicion para todas las personas que lo conocieron porque Dios lo lleno de sabiduria para compartir su palabra.
Ese fue su testimonio tanto en lo moral como en lo espiritual; segun lo que pude escuchar de El.

Fue un gran honor y una  gran bendición haber conocido a mi hermano en Cristo Manuel Herrera. Èl, juntamente con su esposa, la hermanita Juana, llegaron en los primeros días en que habíamos iniciado la congregación en español con el pastor Cisco. Desde entonces se empezaron a congregar con nosotros y empezamos convivir como hermanos en Cristo y así llegaron a ser nuestros amigos. Con el tiempo me pude dar cuenta de quién era Manuel Herrera y cuál era la pasión de su vida: Jesucristo. Llegamos a ser compañeros de equipo en la iglesia; unos desde el púlpito y Manuel Herrera desde la calle. Esa era su oficina de trabajo. Él no era un creyente tibio. Era una persona firme en sus convicciones y que no tenía miedo ni vergüenza de compartirlas con los demás. Continuemos con esa visión y ese llamado que contestó Manuel Herrera. Quiero aprovechar la oportunidad para invitar a cada lector, familiar y amigo a aceptar a Cristo en su corazón. Estoy seguro de que alguien de entre ustedes aceptará ese llamado amoroso del Seor Jesus. No tenga temor de decir que usted también es cristiano; ni de afirmar lo que Cristo está haciendo hoy en su vida. Continuemos ese legado, ejemplo pasión y visión de este hombre. Les amo en el nombre glorioso de nuestro Señor y Dios, Jesucristo.

Querido tío Manuel se que ya esta con Papito Dios le doy gracias a la vida por haberme permito ser parte de ella y por haber compartido con usted momentos únicos.  Recuerdo su última visita al país El Salvador, su Tierra Natal! Recuerdo cuando íbamos caminando hacia el cementerio a visitar a mis abuelitos Maria y Manuel Padres de mi Tia Juana. Y derrepente usted me dijo que quería correr y fue tan emocionante verlo divertirse y verlo correr un hombre que a pesar de su edad tenía muchas más energías. Bueno tío como esta historia y muchas más están grabadas en mi mente como un bello recuerdo del gran ser humano que fue, lo extrañare mucho.

Y A la familia las más grandes bendecidones y fortaleza Dios tiene un plan perfecto para nuestras vidas!!

Mi Tio Manuel fue de bendicion en nuestras vidas agradezco a Dios y a mi Tia Juana por darnos a un Tio ejemplar yo les  Bendigo porque cuando mi mami me hiva a tener el nos llevo al hospital porque Mi papi estaba trabajando por eso para mi fue un GRAN hombre que con todas sus labores tomo su tiempo para llevar a mi mami al hospital y el con cariño decia, "Mija" Gracias Tia Juana Podarnos

Les AMAMOS y disfrutamos mucho de mi Tio Manuel cuando vino al Salvador el año  pasado!!Aqui en esta foto celebrabamos el cumpleaños de mi Tia Juana y mi cumpleaños! MI TIO MANUEL SE VE MUY FELIZ AQUI! Gracias a Dios que nos concedio de vivir estos momentos LINDOS con mi Tio que en Paz descansa a la diestra de nuestro Señor JesuCristo!!

Recuerdo al hermano Manuel como un hombre que amaba al Señor; el se asegura que los que estabamos en la iglesia habiamos recibido al Señor como nuestro Salvador. Siempre escribia sus versos favoritos en sus notas. Fue un ejemplo como hijo de Dios siempre muy amable. Su esposa Juanita igual, ella ha sido una hermana muy ejemplar como sierva de Dios y como esposa. Su entrega en cuerpo y alma al cuidado de su esposo, Juanita siempre mantuvo su fe en su El Señor Jesucristo, ella siempre oraba por sus familia y sino podia ir a la oracion nos llamaba por la necesidad que hubiera en su casa. Siempre los recordare como una familia ejemplar. Que Dios los bendiga siempre.

Hola papito, papito lla no estas con nosotros pero algun dia estaremos donde tu estas . Papi gracias por 
enseñarme lo bueno y lo malo de este mundo. Siempre voy a tener tus bendiciones grabadas en mi corazon. Tan grabadas en mi corazon que siento que aun estas a mi alrededor besando mi frente o mi mejia cuando me despedia de ti y decias con mucho AMOR "Vete con cuidado mija" Yo se papi que desde el cielo los vas acuidar como lo hacias a qui con tus oraciones y BENDICIONES!  Papi no tengo palabras papi con este vacio que nos dejastes con tu partida. Pero sabemos que ahora estas en un lugar donde tu te lo ganastes  y que ahora estas gozando con nuestro Padre Celestial! Gozando infinitamente,  palmando en gloria como tu lo hacias aqui!  No me despido papi si no hasta pronto! Papi TE AMO, te amo siempre vas estar en mi corazon papi hasta pronto papi!!

Don Manuelito no tuve el honor de conoserlo en vida pero me basto un para de horas para darme cuenta la gran persona que fue en vida.  Y ahora ya partido a la vida Eterna, esta junto a nuestro Padre que estoy mas que segura que El lo recibio con los brazos abiertos y que desde alla cuidara a su hermosa Familia.
Hizo un buen trabajo como Papà lo puedo ver en mi amiga Ruth y se que Ella seguira sus pazos.

Whenever I came over to visit you welcomed me and embraced me like if I was a member of your family. You were a kind and gentle man, who cares very much about the Lord and your family. I remember you would always speak to me in Spanish and read from the Bible to me, and sometimes joking with a smile and an infectious laugh. It meant alot to me. You were loved and will be missed by so many. May you rest in peace now Manuel

El hermaño Manuel era un hombre de consistencia. Él siempre fue el hombre que te apuntaba hacia el Señor. Él era un hombre conforme al corazón de Dios y no se avergonzaba de su fe. Él fue un ejemplo para mí, mi familia, y la iglesia en cómo vivir una vida centrada en Cristo. Lo extraño, pero sé que él está donde él quisiera estar-en la presencia de Dios. Igualmente como hermaño Manuel, tenemos esperanza y un futuro en Jesucristo.

Señor Manuel, fue muy conmovedor y muy bonito haber estado en su celebración de vida.  Por todos los lindos testimonios de su familia y amigos pude darme cuenta que usted fue un ser humano ejemplar. En memoria de mi amado hermano Manuel,

Tuve el privilegio de conocerlo por varios años. 
Siempre me hablaba de Cristo y me motivaba a seguir adelante en la fe.

Su forma de ser fue ejemplar. 
Siempre pensaba en los demás y demostraba el amor de Cristo donde quiera que andaba.

Terminó su carrera y su recuerdo lo llevo en mi corazón. Un hermano en la fe que no temía a nadie ni se avergonzaba de Cristo.

Me acuerdo de esas platicas con el donde nos reíamos y motivábamos el uno al otro.

Extrañare a mi hermano Manuel, pero tenemos un futuro y esperanza que  pronto estaremos en el presencia de Dios para siempre.

El más bonito recuerdo que tengo de don Manuel fue la del viaje que compartimos con el , su hija Ruth y su nieto desde El Salvador hasta aquí en Estados  Unidos .Ahora ya descansa en los brazos de nuestro señor, Que Dios le de mucha Fortaleza a su familia

Siempre fue una buena persona con un corazón honesto y cariñoso estoy triste por se ha ido pero usted está descansando en el cielo con dios siempre lo voy a recordar descanse en paz Don Manuel.

My grandpa was an amazing man and I was blessed that I had the opportunity to get to know him. He has taught me so many things and I have wonderful memories that I will treasure.
The one thing that I will remember about my grandpa is his dedication to the Lord and that he walked up and down these streets talking about the word of God and even though people might look at him like he was crazy or pushed him away he never gave up, he wanted everybody to experience the happiness that the Lord gives us. My grandpa was a caring, loving, dedicated, and a humbled person that has impacted my life and I will never forget my grandpa he was a role model to me and I know that he is up in heaven watching over us giving us the wisdom that we need in our day to day life.

Manuel Herrera Hidalgo ya está gozando de la presencia de nuestro Señor JesuCristo! Nuestro Señor lo recibio con los brazos abiertos  ya está descansando su vida eterna! Donde  el señor le prometió  a el en la patria Celestial. Una morada eterna!
Esta es la Biblia que se ponía a leer cuando estaba en mi casa! Aqui en El Salvador el año pasado cuando vino con mi hermana Juana de Los Estados Unidos a visitarnos.
A Manuel le gustaba muchisimo escrudiñar la escritura.
Estas rosas las puse en memoria  junto a esta Biblia, la palabra de Dios. Recordanlo con mucho amor y cariño. A un ser muy querido que supo ganarse  a las personas cuando estaba en vida atravez del amor de Dios!

En memoria ,a mi hermano en Cristo Jesús. 
Manuel, Tube el privilegio de conocer y de compartir el Evangelio del Señor Jesús, pues ;
 el fue un ejemplo para mi ya que el compartía 
El Evangelio a toda persona que cruzaba por su camino. Siempre dispuesto a servir con una sonrisa 
en su rostro, gracias Señor por darme el privilegio 
de conocer a mi hermano Manuel, y por la vida que
Tu le diste en este mundo. Para tu gloria..

 Señor Manuel, usted que siempre me hablaba de Dios y su reino, bueno, por fin esta en la gloria disfrutando del Senor Jesus quien a sido su amor eterno desde nino. Ahora le puede cantar sus alabanzas por la eternidad. Asi que cuando este alla, acuerdese me mi, y guardeme un espasio al lado de usted, asi los dos cantamos juntos por la eternidad cuando sea mi tiempo!

Brother Manuel, fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished his race. He will always be remembered as a man who loved his family and shared his faith and passion for Jesus with others. We'll miss you, but look forward to worshiping with you, in the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Tío Manuel, se nos adelantó a la presencia de nuestro Señor,  fue lindo compartir con usted muchos momentos bonitos, momentos que marcaron mi vida, recuerdo sus bromas cuando yo era pequeña y le tenía tanto miedo a las vacas jajajaja o  cuando nos regañaba con Ruth porque nos reíamos mucho antes de dormir jugando, en fin tanto recuerdos!! Admire tanto en usted esa pasión por la palabra de Dios. Tuve la oportunidad de compartir con usted hace un  año ya en otra etapa de su vida y nunca perdió ese buen humor,   fue tan lindo ver ese amor de novio hacia mi tía, amores que ya poco se ven en este mundo, gracias por ser parte de mi vida, siempre estará en mis recuerdos y en mi corazón, hasta pronto.

Tio Manuel, I hope you are in gods hands. You will be remembered fondly and with great love and respect. You are missed.

Tío Manuel espero que ya esté gozando en la presencia de nuestro señor Jesucristo, siempre lo recordaré cuando me hablada de la palabra de Dios y de todos los buenos momentos que pasamos juntos en sus visitas a El Salvador,  lo extrañaremos pero siempre estará en nuestras oraciones para que interceda por nosotros. Le mando un fuerte abrazo hasta el cielo.

Tío Manuel. Un ángel ha sido llamado al cielo para cuidarnos desde allá. Siempre te recuerdo como un gran padre y esposo. En mi niñez cuando pasaba las vacaciones en tu casa, disfrutando de esa vida de campo muy bonita, con tus consejos y siempre con una sonrisa. Mis condolencias a mi Tía Juana y toda la familia. Dios les de la serenidad para superar tu ausencia. Tío Manuel, disfruta del paraíso eterno y gracias por dejarnos tantos recuerdos maravillosos. Abrazos a toda la familia. Con Cariño.

Con mucho cariño para alguien muy especial q yo conocí cuando estaba 
muy joven!  Fue una persona muy especial como un padre, un amigo y una persona muy especial quien  medio muchos consejos!
No está con nosotros pero se q está en un lugar lindo lleno de paz y tranquilidad y desde ese lugar nos cuida descanse en paz.
sed q también está con otra persona muy especial para q es mi madre y sed q desde el cielo nos cuidan descansen en paz. Los QUIERO mucho!

Good bye Papa Manuel. I remember meeting you fifteen year ago. You did not speak English, I don't speak Spanish, yet we quickly built such a special connection. You always made me feel so special. Your smile, your warm hug, and you calling me "mija", any time i saw you, even when you were sick in the hospital bed, always reminded me how strong will, yet so tender and loving you were. The love you showed to mama Juana, Ruth and grand kids always filled my heart with gratefulness and appreciation. I never forget how you looked when you held baby Jonathan. 
Papa Manuel, I know you feel how hard it is for mama Juana and all of us to let you go. Yet we know you are at peace and we will see you again one day. We love you, grateful for you and you will be forever in our heart.

Un gran querido y estimado hermano en Cristo nuestro hermano Manuel Herrera...tuve el gran privilegio de conocerlo a él y a su familia..(esposa e hijas) ,Lo que puedo decir que Él nos dejó un grande LEGADO...(a Nuestro Señor y Salvador JESUCRISTO)  NO tan sólo a su familia si no también a todos los que le conocimos sigamos su GRAN EJEMPLO!!!
Búsquemos día con día a nuestro gran Dios y tratémos de tener una relación con él también como nuestro gran hermano Manuel la tuvo...Adelante!!!

I do not have many memories of you grandpa and I know I was not around family as much as I wanted to but I do have memories of when I was a young little boy. You and grandma would take care of me. Recently I found out why I like working hard and put effort in my work and it is because you were a hard worker yourself. Now that you're gone how can I forget what you meant to all of us Cause you were the greatest out of all I have met. Without you we wouldn't be here. You devoted your life to Jesus therefore you got a one way first class ticket to heaven. You are a Legend Father And a Role Model and if I would spent more time around you. You of been the one person I would of come to for advice instead of holding all the anger I have in me. I love you Grandpa and I will always remember you

Every time you came to Colorado to visit us I enjoyed the time you spent with us you always knew how to make us laugh at all the silly things you did. I miss your smile and laugh so much but I know deep down you are resting in heaven that God wanted you by his side and that this is a see you later for now. I love you so much Abuelito Manuel!

Papa Manuel was a wonderful person!  I didn't know him that well, but I know he had a BIG heart. Whenever I saw him he was always quiet, and always reading the dictionary, or the Bible. He was a very very sweet man !  Even though he is no longer here with us, he will forever be in our hearts!  Now he is walking with the Lord, and looking down on his family smiling !  Rest in peace Papa Manuel !  We all love you, and you will be truly missed.

Papa Manuel, my heart aches as it's hard to believe that you're rejoicing in a better place. You lived a remarkable life in the presence of the Lord. You always took time out of your day to talk to friends, family, and strangers about the lord. It hurts that you're no longer going to be with us, but I know you'll be keeping an eye on all of us!! Te quiero mucho Papá Manuel y espero que esta gozando en el cíelo.

Even though I met you for a short time I was able to see a lot from those moments. I saw how much you meant to your loving family. I could tell that even though at your age it was getting hard that you still loved taking care of the babies. papa manuel had  a big impact on their family that it was easy to see that papa manuel and his loving wife raised the family to respect and love not only one an other but even people that are not blood that come in to the family. You lived a long and loving life I wish that I could have talk to you or met you longer  I know if I did I would learn a lot from you. It hurts that you are gone you can not be replaced but I know that you are doing alright in heaven and now you are able to watch over and protect your family from above. Even though you are gone from here you will never be forgotten, you will always be in our hearts . You will be missed but you are in a better place now and even though we haven't really met thank you for everything you have done rest in peace.

Papauel you were such a courageous man with a forceful believement of the lord. I remember being 10 and you would speak to me about God our savior. If it wasnt for you Grandpa I would be lost in this cruel world. You guided me in a good path that is leading me towards a good future. Although, my heart aches I know yours is beginning to beat again. I know you will be waiting for us and this time well be together forever in heaven with everlasting lives. I cant wait to see you again Papauel!
