She was born in Riverside on April 11, 1944, and graduated from Poly High School in 1961.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Ron Johnston. She is survived by her daughters, Tami Smith and Lisa Anderson; sons-in-law, Jim and Steve; nine grandchildren, Ron, Ashley, Michael, Craig, Breanna, Nicole, Lexi, Daytona, and Tori; five great-grandchildren, Alaina, Adrian, Easton, Axelle, and Draco; her sister, Shirley; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
After retiring from the grocery industry, she and Ron moved to Kauai, Hawaii, where they lived for seven years before moving to Orlando, Florida, in 2001, and then returning to Riverside in 2020.
Services will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Acheson & Graham Garden of Prayer in Riverside, with interment following at Olivewood Cemetery.
