Mary Martinez passed away peacefully in her sleep at home. Having been cared for and loved by her daughter Irma for many years. Her son-in-law Tony, granddaughters Rosana, Lisa, Precilla, grandson-in-law Ernesto, great-grandchildren Joseph, Kassandra, Anthony, Hailey, Jordyn, Jessica and Lyla- were ever-present bringing joy and comfort in her final days. She was blessed with 101 and a half years of life and we were blessed to have her as long as we did. She was born in Anson, Texas, the middle child to Bruno and Epifania Ramirez. She lived in Denver, Colorado, where she married and had two children, Irma and Bobby. She was a strong, and independent woman who passed those traits onto her family. She lived in Arizona for many years caring for her father until his death. She was the most patriotic woman you could ever meet, always wearing red, white and blue. Her favorite holiday was the Fourth of July, she now lights up the sky like her favorite fireworks. She never went anywhere without her favorite red hat, red lipstick and red polish, her signature color. To her nothing was complete without a touch of paint; she adored changing or adding color to everything. She had a vibrant and fun personality and she loved to be at the center of everything. In her youth she loved to go out dancing every weekend and had to have a new dress each time. She brought energy and light wherever she went. Mary's unwavering faith guided her throughout her life and inspired those around her.
She is survived by her daughter Irma, son-in-law Tony, grandchildren Rosana, Lisa, Precilla, Robert, Maryann, Veronica and Debbie. Twenty two great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Bruno and Epifania, 2 sisters and her son Bobby. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
