Born on December 14, 1962, to Merl and Marlys Landmesser, Monica’s childhood fostered her adventurous spirit. Together with her four siblings, Monica enjoyed snow skiing in Big Bear, water skiing at the lake, spending summers at the family farm in Iowa, and traveling around the United States showing horses.
After graduating from college, she began her career as an elementary school teacher and raised 3 children, Tyler, Chelsea, and Ryan. Monica shared her passion for horses with her children and her deep connection to the family egg ranch. As she did with her siblings, Monica took her children on countless adventures across the country in the family travel trailer, belting Cher songs and eating Lemonheads to stay awake on the long drives.
After a 27-year teaching career, Monica relocated to the family ranch in Norco where she enjoyed breeding her rat terriers. With her free time, Monica found joy in taking family trips to the beach or Big Bear, attending Angels games, seeing plays & musicals, and watching endless Hallmark movies. While she found happiness in many things, nothing compared to simply spending time with family and loved ones.
Monica is reunited in heaven with her parents and brother, Marcus. She leaves many to cherish her memory: children, Tyler (Cory) Pawlowski and their child Phoenix, Chelsea, and Ryan (Lauren) Pawlowski; companion, Jeff Feather; sister, Marty (Tim) Brooks and their children Natalie (John) Fischbeck and Katie (Ben) Smith; brother, Mike Landmesser and his children, Ashleigh Landmesser and Greg Zuelch and their child, Jaxon, Alyssa (Jeff) Nelson and their children Cambria, Zane, and Bexley, Marcus Landmesser; sister, Meri (Ray) Royster and their children Alan (Kristen) Royster and their children, Emma and Dylan, Aaron, Austin and Alex Royster; sister, Melissa Peak and her children, Marshall, Dustin, Annie, and Amanda Peak.
