Patrick Lawrence Wright born September 21, 1949, Inglewood California Passed September 23, 2023 Fontana California Patrick grew up in many states during his childhood, Illinois, Wyoming, Wakarusa Kansas, Roswell New Mexico, Pomona. Pat attended Marshall junior high, Ganesha high school, Mt. Sac and Azuza Pacific… He worked many jobs The boys Republic in Chino,, Tropical Fish store which he loved, The Orange Groves and many others before finally becoming a teacher in 1973… His teaching career started at Palomar junior high as a substitute and from there he went onto Marshall junior high from 1975 to 1976. He would then go onto Ganesha high school from 1976 to 1996… At Ganesha he was a soccer coach, a volleyball coach a baseball coach. He was CIF coach of the year after winning CIF with girls' soccer.. In 1996 he then went back to Marshall junior high until 2009 where he would retire after 36 years of teaching… Pat met Maxine in 1978, at Ganesha and in 1983 they would have their only child Rachel and marry in 1985… Pat Max and Rachel spent most of the 80’s and 90’s playing sports.. Pat played Basketball soccer and softball many of you here today are friends from those great times.. In 2007 Pat became a grandfather to Jayden and man did he love this role, Him and Max would take Jayden everywhere… New Mexico, Sea World which was their favorite place… 2009 that role doubled with Rylee and he would again take on the best role ever as Papa.. He loved being a Papa and was by far the best one they could have…. In 2015 Rachel would welcome the Bonus Grandson Kj and Kody, Pat had such a love for kids specially his grandkids… In 2016 Kylie aka BAD ASS would join the bunch and man did she have him wrapped around her finger… Pat & Max had many years of ups and downs but stood strong until the very end not every marriage is perfect and some people give up but Not them, they worked through them in good times and bad times and in sickness and health… Max stood next to him through it all… He’s survived by wife Maxine of newly 38 years of marriage, Daughter Rachel, Son in Law Kyle Davis , Grandchildren Jayden, Rylee, Kylie, KJ, Kody and great grandson Maverick Brother Michael and wife Sandy Wright … Niece Lauren and husband Joey Smetona their 3 children Luke Amie and John… Niece Jennifer and Husband Scot Tucker 2 daughters Mia and Lea Tucker… and many other family members He is preceded in death by his Father Edward, Mother Virgina, Older Brother Timothy, Sister-in-Law Ruthie and nephew Brian Wright… A Celebration of Life was held on March 23, 2024 with family and friends at Gil and Marti Rodriguez’s home.
