

and fought hard for many years to make sure she was with the people she loved longer.
Rachel was born on August 6, 1982, in Riverside, California, to Anthony Philip Banda and Laura
Esquivel Banda. She grew up in Riverside and met the love of her life, Paul Edward De La
Casas, when she was 15. Rachel and Paul shared 27 years of happiness and love. Together, they
had three children: Paul Edward De La Casas Jr., Laura Rose De La Casas, and Audrina Katana
De La Casas.
Rachel was deeply passionate about her children, finding immense joy and pride in their
achievements and lives. Each of them brought her immense happiness, and she cherished every
moment spent with them.
Rachel had a passion for cooking. She always made sure no one was ever hungry. She loved
singing and doing karaoke. Rachel loved spending time with family and friends as often as she
could. She was a ray of sunshine whenever she walked into any room.
As a dedicated cafeteria manager at Troth Street Elementary School, Rachel found joy in her
work. It allowed her to contribute to the well-being of the students, and she was beloved by her
coworkers and the students as well for her kind and loving nature.
Rachel is survived by her Father, Anthony Philip Banda; Her Life Partner, Paul Edward De La
Casas; and her three children, Paul Edward De La Casas Jr, Laura Rose De La Casas, and
Audrina Katana De La Casas.
A viewing will be held at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn Memorial on Friday, August 16th, from 4-8
pm. Followed by a Celebration of Life on Saturday, August 17th 2-6:30pm
At the request of the deceased, please dress in formal attire at both the viewing and Celebration
of Life. Rachel also requested that friends and family avoid wearing ALL black.
