

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who passed away peacefully on March 8th, 2026 in Norwalk California after a courages battle of pneumonia.
Roger was born on January 16th 1947 in Crookston Minnesota to his mother Irene Lizotte and father Ernest Benoit. He served as a Fireman Marine in the Navy from August 1964-1970. He also served the Vietnam War from 1966-1967. He received a Vietnam Service Metal, a National Defense Service Metal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Metal, and the First Award of the Good Conduct Metal. After leaving the Navy he started his construction career as a Laborer for 27 years and transitioned to a Carpenter Superintendent until retirement.
Roger is survived by his two children Allen and Leean, two grandchildren Jacob and Ashtin and his two sisters Dolores, Jeanette and brother Jimmy.
Roger was a man whose love for his family was truly unmatched. As a devoted husband, he stood beside his partner through every chapter of life with unwavering love and loyalty. As a father, he was a source of strength, guidance, and encouragement. As a grandfather, he found immense joy in his grandchildren, always cherishing the moments he spent with them and the laughter they shared.
Roger was known for his incredible sense of humor and playful personality. He loved to joke around and had a special way of making people smile, even on the toughest days. His laughter and lighthearted spirit brought joy to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
Even in his final days, Roger showed remarkable strength and determination, putting up a fight until the very end. True to his character, he faced life’s challenges with courage and resilience. Surrounded by love, he passed peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of cherished memories.
Roger will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. While our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in knowing his legacy of love, laughter, and strength will live on through the many lives he touched.
