She was a graduate of New Wilmington High School and Slippery Rock College. A longtime resident of Riverside, Shirley served her community as a school teacher in the Corona-Norco and Los Angeles Unified School districts for over 35 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raul Patino, son Steve Black, and grandson Luke Tiscareno and is survived by her sisters Joan Buckley of New Castle, PA and June Benedict, of New Wilmington, PA, sons Merle Black of Volant, PA, Harry Culbertson of Melbourne, Australia, and daughter Connie Tiscareno of Riverside, CA, as well as 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
