Im so sorry i wasn't there to say my final good bye to him. I met Tom in about the fourth or fifth grade an Monroe Elementary. As we grew, we became great friends. Some of the shenanigans we pulled off were great fun. There was the "T.P Squad" where we would go TP a house, or two. There was a gas station with a fountain out front.  We put bubble bath in it and came back in an hour. The whole intersection was filled with bubbles. We laughed for weeks. Tom and I could almost read each other's thoughts. We worked on lots of stuff together. He was my supervisor at Tyler Mall. I remember, he would come to my house to play Canasta (card game) with my parents and sister. We usually played until 12 or 1am, laughing all the time. Tom had the type personality, you just enjoyed having him around.  So many great memories with this guy. I love him like a brother. Rest in Peace brother. Until we meet again

Tom was my cousin from California. Living in Pennsylvania, having family in California was a big thing in the 60's.
I got to visit with Tom and his family several times throughout the years.  Tom had such a gentle soul, and was always so accommodating, inviting,  and kind.  It was so frustrating seeing such a good person being so limited by a crippling medical issue.  There was always the questions, 'why'  and 'what could have been?' Unable to change any of that, I can only express gratitude for the family he had to care for him and know he is at peace now with his family who have gone on.
