VERA V. SAWYER Age 89, passed away on 12/30/2013. She was born on 3/19/1924 in Detroit, Michigan and had lived in Riverside, CA for 55 years. She worked as a secretary for Bourns Inc. in Riverside, CA for 15 years and retired as VP of Bert Sawyer Realty in Riverside, CA after 15 years. Vera and Bert traveled extensively in the U.S. in their R.V. for many years, went on 10 cruises, Hawaii 5 times and overseas twice. Vera enjoyed doing her crossword puzzles and sudoku and casinos. Vera is survived by her son Tom Sawyer and 2 grandchildren Jason and Kenny. She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Bert Sawyer and daughter Sandra Collier/Sawyer. Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, 1/9/2014 at 2pm at Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA 92518.
