My mommy, Yuriko was an awesome loving mom. She had been in the States for only 10 years when she became a single parent of 4 children. She provided for  all our needs and we were never without food, housing or a loving parent. She was a great example for her children to be hard working, live with integrity and be the foundation of your family. She will be greatly missed and I am thankful we have so many sweet memories of her. Love you mom, Kathy

Such a beautiful tribute to Mrs. Moffitt! It was so nice to see her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren!
I met Mrs. Moffitt 40 plus years ago at an "NSA" (now SGI) meeting in Palm Springs,  and Riverside. I received guidance from her many times in those early days. Mrs. Moffitt was always the pinnacle of grace and kindness. Over the years when i would see her at the various community centers in the Riverside area she ALWAYS was smiling and joyous and would lend a kind word and encouragement to never give up.
One time i asked her about her children that were mostly young adults then, inquiring if they practiced this buddhism too? She replied: "I never worry about them as I know in their own time they will ". She was resolute promoting their happiness with her prayers.
Mrs. Moffitt was also a strong beacon of all the Riverside Community Centers lending her beautiful presence and always a kind word to everyone .
I will never forget Yuiko Moffitt!

What a wonderful time! 
Thanks to Aunt Yuriko, my life has expanded the world.

The genealogy of various inconveniences and difficulty of living that we encounter in our lives never ends in the search for the cause.  Still, live your life, how rich you can take your life as a part of human history, how much you can smile, how much you can cherish your important family and friends, and so on. I thought about it again.

I'm just grateful.  Thank you so much for the wonderful memorial service.

My deepest condolences for your loss. I have fond memories of Yuriko and will always remember how kind, thoughtful and caring she was to me and my family.  She was also a very dear friend to my mother-in-law, Tokue Wimberly and will be truly missed by all. Love, The Lee Family!

Mrs. Yuriko Moffitt always had an amazing smile. She was like another Soka Gakkai Grandma to me. She always made sure I was well fed. Every time I would go to the Etiwanda, Riverside, or East LA Buddhist centers, she always made time to say 'hello' to me and my sister. Even after moving away to college, for years, every time I came back to visit she would make it a point to say 'hello' and ask me how I was doing with a warm and bright smile. There were several times that I was able to go to lunch with Mrs. Moffitt. She always made jokes and made me feel  like family. She truly enjoyed spending time with people. Mrs. Moffitt has deeply touched my life and made a significant impact. My life wouldn't be what it is today without her. I hope I can honor her memory by always making people feel welcome! I will miss her very much, but I know that I can connect with her through chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo.

As a dedicated Buddhist for 68 years, I know that my grandmother believes in eternal life. I can only imagine that she felt a deep sense of fulfillment upon her passing. Within me lies her love for humanity, her strength to overcome obstacles, her devotion to the Mystic Law, and her commitment to world peace. I am extremely grateful that I could be present with her and my mom for those final moments. In her honor I share with you, Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. I love you grandma 💞
