Paul J Barney passed away peacefully on May, 8, 2021. He was born in St. George Utah on August 10, 1960 to Blaine L. Barney and Kathleen Jensen. He graduated from Vermont high school in Bountiful Utah.
He began his career with Delta Airlines, he was able to move with them to Chicago, Cincinnati, Memphis, Dallas and back to Salt Lake City. Paul was awarded the Delta chairman’s award and had the opportunity for his name to be put on an aircraft. After 32 years he retired with Delta and started working for the Granite School District for 9 years. He made many friends everywhere he worked and was known for his good work ethic.
He loved to go camping and hunting at Fishlake and our family deer camp in Panguitch. Anyone that knew him would agree that he loved kids and babies as well as hockey and animals, especially hummingbirds and dogs.
Paul was taken from us too soon, but we know Heavenly Father had other plans for him. We want to express our gratitude to his wife (Suzy) for taking great care of him, from the moment they met, until the day he passed.
He is survived by his wife Suzy, son; Steven, daughter; Marie, Son; Nolan, and 3 grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his father Blaine L. Barney.
