Tracy Pugmire Lee was a beautiful, fun-loving and devoted wife, mother, and friend. She lived graciously and courageously until the end. After years of living with breast cancer, in January 2023 Tracy left this world, leaving a hole in the heart of all who knew her. She is survived and missed by all mentioned below.
Tracy was born in Barcelona, Spain to mother, Karen Towers Pugmire, and father, James H. Pugmire in September 1962. Tracy loved and adored her parents. Tracy was the youngest of three children, and especially once they were grown, she enjoyed traveling with her sister Michele Pugmire (Suzanne Spence) and brother Brian Pugmire (Tamee).
The beautiful light of her life touched so many people in so many ways. Tracy was known for her ability to easily make friends and for her creativity. Tracy was gifted with the rare combination of being incredibly organized and brilliantly artistic. Her first job in high school was curating displays at a local department store and later put her 'eye' to work as an interior designer for numerous ski homes in Park City. Tracy is known most especially for her amazing culinary skills; her talents truly shone in the kitchen, her happy place. An invitation to her table was coveted by every recipient. Sometimes she made things as a labor of love, including 300 lbs. of homemade, hand-dipped chocolates for Christmas gifts - even in the years she was on chemo.
She took her love of cooking and talent for throwing amazing events to the next level when she started her own catering company, Simply Savored. This encore career took off and her company became a go-to for high-end clientele visiting Park City. Her surviving family and friends are endlessly proud and happy for her to have realized this dream.
She married the love of her life, Richard C. Lee, in 1988 and they shared thirty-five beautiful years. They raised two talented children though, teasingly, she referred to Richard as the "oldest child in the house." Always better together, they shared many memorable adventures: living, skiing, traveling, and going to concerts.
Tracy loved babies and young children, most especially her own, Carter and Alexis. In a kindergarten Mother's Day project, she was hailed "Best Mom!" for the simple reason that she let her kids eat cake for breakfast. Tracy worked incredibly hard to provide Alexis and Carter with the best education possible - plus skiing every weekend - and art projects in between. As her family grew and her children married, Alexis to Brian Park and Carter to Alyssa Gamble, nothing made Tracy happier than to have her whole family together, including her parents and children, especially if it was a party.
Tracy loved a good party. She and her life-long best friend, Susan McKeon (Jon), enjoyed many parties that always ended with dancing. To honor Tracy as she would have liked, a party is in the works. For all those who knew and loved her - please save the date - June 3, 2023. She wanted to be remembered for the good times and all the fun we had together.
In lieu of sending flowers, please plant them in her honor; she especially loved nasturtiums and lilies.
