Phyllis Imogene (Ferguson) Stanley was born on November 13, 1938, in Roanoke, Virginia, and passed away on January 14, 2026, at the age of 87. She was a resident of Vinton, Virginia. She is the daughter of Carroll and Ethel Orelia Ferguson. Phyllis was predeceased by her sister, Brenda Perdue.
Mrs. Stanley graduated from Jefferson High School in Roanoke, Virginia and worked for Telepath Industries for many years. She so enjoyed taking care of her beloved cats, Ziggy, Smokey, Walter, Blackie, Kiki, Sassy and many more.
She is survived by her children Stephen Stanley (Beverly) of Vinton, Virginia, Teresa Stanley of Roanoke, Virginia, and Jeffrey Stanley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren Megan Eakin of Vinton, Virginia, Missy Fink of Suffolk, Virginia, and Ishan Stanley of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and her great-grandchildren Hunter, Hannah and Aubrey Eakin.
The family would like to thank her caregivers at Friendship South in Roanoke.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m, followed by a funeral service from 3:00 p.m to 3:30 pm at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, 5731 Airport Road, Roanoke, Virginia; a graveside service will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, 5737 Airport Road, Roanoke, Virginia.
