David Elliot Cherry

David Elliott Cherry, 82,wonderful husband and father, was called home on Tuesday October 11, 2011.. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home Chapel in Williamston with pastor Heath Faircloth officiating; burial will follow at Robersonville Cemetery.

Mr Cherry was the son of the late David Oscar and Blanche White Cherry. He attended Bethel Baptist Church and was a United States Air Force veteran. He had lived in Bethel for 25 years. On August 28, 1955 he married Ruby Harrison who survives. A brother Johnny Cherry preceded him in death. Survivors in addition to his wife are daughter Ellen Chase and husband Mike of Snow Hill, sons David Elliott Cherry Jr and wife Pam of Grifton, Michael Cherry and wife Virginia of Goldsboro, sisters Gail VanLandingham of Williamston and Peggy Rogerson of Greenville, brothers Jimmy Cherry of Williamston and Billy Cherry of Greenville, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
