Catherine Elisabeth Mueller

Catherine Elisabeth Mueller, age 86, a resident of Rock Island, IL, formerly of Friday Harbor, San Juan Islands, WA, passed away peacefully at Trinity Pathway Hospice in Bettendorf on December 5, 2011.

The family will hold a private service for Catherine. In lieu of flowers, you are invited to send a donation to the wonderful people who gave such excellent care for Catherine in her time of need at Trinity Pathway Hospice, 4500 Utica Ridge Road, Bettendorf, IA 52722. Hodgson Funeral Home, Rock Island, is assisting the family.

Catherine was born on April 10, 1925, and lovingly raised by her adoptive mother, Ruth Ellis. She was the beloved wife of Robert W. Mueller, whom she married on June 14, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA. They were married for 54 years until his passing in June of 2000.

Catherine loved needlepoint, solving crossword puzzles, reading, laughing, spending time with her family, having fun, and a good gin martini.

She will forever be remembered by her beloved children, Yvonne (Fawney Wayne) Chance, Rock Island, Karl C. (Carol) Mueller, Friday Harbor, San Juan Islands, WA; treasured grandchildren, Sean (Hookki) Chance, Ginger (Rich) Toth; and adored great-grandchildren, Geddy Toth; along with countless other friends and family whom she was blessed to know.
