Our beloved daughter Amy passed away peacefully at home at the age of 46. She was loved immensely. Although she was disabled and blind all her life, she showed us how to enjoy every little thing. From all kinds of music to the sounds of the birds and all of the outdoors.
She always had big smiles when she heard her big sisters Christine's voice over the phone or in person. Amy always really enjoyed bathtime when Christine would give her royal treatment with gentle & lingering shampoos, followed by a little spa time with gentle massages and soothing music and always ended with nice warm blankets.
Amy always had a big smile when Kerri, her dedicated caregiver for 30 years, greeted her and spoke with her. She would tell her stories about activities in her own life while caring for her. She enjoyed cartoons, her most recent favorite was Bluey.
She loved to go for rides in the van with mom & dad, and going for walks in her wheelchair, as well as enjoying the peace and quiet of sitting on the porch with us in the morning, noon or night. She really enjoyed the outdoors.
Whenever she smiled, she lit up all of our lives. It was the best thing ever; she truly was our little angel girl. It is a great comfort to us that she passed so peacefully and is now in the heavens with Jesus and her grandmas and grandpas, watching over us. We will miss her dearly.
Survived by: her parents Robert & Gloria Olsen of Barefoot Bay, FL, her sister Christine & Jason Hendren of Viera, FL, her nephew & niece Garrett & Olivia Hendren of Viera, FL, her uncles Ron & Deb Gauthier of Vero Beach, FL, Dennis & Renee Gauthier of Hilton Head Island, SC, and several cousins
There will be a small family gathering at our home at a later date to celebrate Amy's life.
