Arlene Rodriguez peacefully passed away early Sunday morning, August, 29th at the Farrington House Assisted Living Facility, located in Merritt Island, Florida. Arlene was born December 17th, 1927 in Lakewood, Ohio. She moved to Merritt Island in 1963 with her family and was active in the development of Divine Mercy Catholic Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and socializing with friends. Arlene is survived by son’s Daniel Rodriguez and David Rodriguez, sisters, Nancy (Emile) Carrier and Joanne (Dennis) Storms, granddaughter’s Katelyn Rodriguez and Kendall Rodriguez. Arlene was loved and cherished by her family and friend, Roberto. She lived a selfless life, raised her two younger sisters, her two sons and enjoyed being an active part of her two granddaughter’s childhood. She would light up a room with her smile and her beautiful blue eyes. We have learned so much from you through the way you have helped so many people and your strong faith in God. Thank you! The Family would also like to thank Cheryl at the Farrington House and all of her staff. You have truly been Angels to Mom and we can never thank you enough. A viewing will be held Wednesday, September 1st at Divine Mercy Catholic Church on Merritt Island, FL from 10am to 11am followed by a full Mass. Graveside service will be held at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge immediately after Mass. Donations can be made to Saint Vince de Paul’s ministry at http://svdpusa.org, an organization Arlene was passionate about.
