

Bienvenida (Bennie) Vista passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family in Palm Bay, Florida on Dec. 3rd. She was 94 years old. Bennie will be lovingly remembered by her three children, Roger Vista (Rose), Leonida Vista, and Grace Vista Ciarrocchi (Stephen); her grandchildren Alina, Jolie, Aaron, Justin, and Adrian; and her great-grandchildren Lennon, Nolan and Aaliyah. She is predeceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Leopoldo Vista, and her 3 young sons, her parents Macario and Aurelia Santiago, and her 5 siblings.
Bennie was born in Cavite City, Philippines and moved to Japan in 1967, then to Annapolis, Maryland in 1970, where her husband Leopoldo was stationed during his service in the U.S. Navy, and where they retired. In 2004, Bennie and Leopoldo moved to Palm Bay, Florida.
Bennie was a devoted Mom and Grandmother and treasured her time spent with her family most, followed by cultivating beautiful gardens filled with flowers and abundant fruit trees and vegetable plants. Bennie’s love for her gardens and her natural green thumb, won her multiple “Garden of the Month” community awards. Bennie’s other hobbies included bowling with Leopoldo, and fishing and crabbing with him on the Chesapeake Bay. Bennie also had a penchant for numbers and real estate and invested in real estate lots in the Philippines and in the U.S.
Friends and family are welcome to join Bennie’s Memorial Service & Celebration of Life at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens at 5950 South U.S. Highway 1 Rockledge, Fl. 32955 on Thursday, December 16th. Receiving of Guests will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m., with the Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m. Private Burial Service to follow on Friday, December 17th at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery in Mims. Flowers can be sent to the Memorial Service beginning 12/15.
