He lived in Melbourne and worked for Perry & Leighty Well Drilling. Ron was an avid fisherman, held a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and raced motorcycles. He held two consecutive National Lightweight SuperBike championships and many other first place finishes.
Ron is survived by his wife, Robin Jarrett Porter Perry; his parents, Edith and Dillard R. Perry, Sr.; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and Rob Simpson; nephew, Patrick Simpson (wife, Amy, children, Ivy and Cash); niece, Suzanne Simpson; step-son, Jason Porter (wife, Michelle, child, Sarah); and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins from East Tennessee.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 21 at 10:30 a.m., service at 11:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Indialantic, 170 Washington Ave.
