Elise Ophelia Redfern

Elise Ophelia Conner Redfern, 83, of Cocoa, Florida and Cobbtown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 in Titusville, Florida. She was born in McCray, Georgia and came to Brevard County in 1949 from Georgia. Elise was retired from Sears and was a member of the Eastern Star, New Life Baptist Church, and former member of Clearlake Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Eloise Chandler, Jeanne Poston, Debbie (Ricky) Daughtry, and Barbara (Ken) Top; brothers, James (Laura) Conner and Joseph Conner; sisters, Wanneli (Paul) Collins, Ophelia (David) Holland, Martha (Truman) Daniels, and Brenda (Wilbur) Joyner; eleven grandchildren, Shelly, Michael, Jennifer, Kristi, Bryan, Amy, Brandee, Lacey, Jonathan, Jake, and Clayton; and four great-grandchildren, Woody, Harly, Alayna, and Gatlin.

Elise was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Redfern; parents J.B. and Edna Conner; and brothers and sisters, Bobby and Aaron Conner, Margaret Cooper, and Claudine Houser.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, with a funeral service on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 3:00pm, also at the Life Event Center. The interment will follow the funeral at Florida Memorial Gardens. Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to the New Life Baptist Church, Metter, GA.
