Janet was born February 18, 1923 in Charleston, WV to the late Anna Gay and William Hanshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cole; brothers, Robert, William, Woodrow and Paul; and sisters, Sybil and Virginia. While in Charleston, Janet worked at FMC and after moving to Melbourne, FL, she worked for Brevard County.
Survived by her children, Ernest B. Morris Jr. and wife Melissa of Melbourne, FL and Ruth Ann Derr and husband Herbert of St. Albans, WV; grandchildren: Lee E. Morris and wife Tara of Ozark, MO, Gary E. Morris of Melbourne, FL, Genny Jacoby of Melbourne, FL, Tina Starcheer and husband Allen of Amma, WV, Wyatt Derr and wife Amanda of St Albans, WV; and 13 great-grandchildren.
