Jason Christopher Whitworth, 45, of Melbourne, FL., passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016 at his home. He was born in Atlanta, GA., and came to Brevard County in 1996 from Bryson City, NC. He was a physical education teacher and a cross-country and track coach at West Shore Jr./Sr. High School. He was also a member of Lake Washington Fellowship Church.
Survivors include his wife; Gayle Whitworth, children; Alexis and Luke Whitworth, parents; Orien and Jeannie Whitworth, brother; Kevin Whitworth, sister; Amber Whitworth, and niece; Josephine Whitworth. He is also survived by his father; Tom Wetzel and his wife, Debbie, sisters; Shannon Wetzel and Diandra Wetzel Bosch, and her husband, Todd, nephews; Seani Hayden and Tommy Dent, grandparents; Charles and Barbara Rogers, and Dell Whitworth, In-Laws; Larry and Brenda Orren and Tracy Whitlock.
A visitation will be held at the Lake Washington Fellowship Church, 4050 Lake Washington Rd, Melbourne, FL 32935 on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 2-4pm with services to follow at 4pm. Entombment will be in Florida Memorial Gardens, after which there will be a celebration of life at The Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, 5950 US HWY 1, Rockledge, FL. 32955
