

John G. Farouk, born on April 10, 1942 in Afghanistan passed away suddenly on December 4, 2020 in Melbourne, FL at the age of 78. He moved to Brevard County in 1980 from Bowie, MD. and became a successful entrepreneur with the opening of several businesses.
He attended Military High School and later attended Afgahn Military Academy in 1960, he graduated with a B.S. – Electronics Degree he also attended U.S. Flight Training School, including Officer’s Electronics School and Avionics and then became a pilot in the Afghan Air Force. He was also successful in many training courses with the United States Air Force with completing training in Ground Electronics, Flying courses, Air Traffic Control and Aircraft Radio repairman. He attended the University of Maryland with a degree in Business. In 1975 he became a United States Citizen.
He was successful in many walks of life including Management, Sales, Real Estate and had the knack to tell a good joke.
At the time of his passing he was a successful business owner of The PourHouse Lounge in Satellite Beach, FL. You could always find him there, sitting in his corner, was always nice to sit and have a good chat with him and listen to his jokes ”True Story”. His knowledge went beyond any academic degree as was shown in his vast wisdom. John was known by many and he did have an extraordinary life and always a great story to tell. He will truly be missed by many.
He is survived by his son, Tamim Farouk of Los Angeles, CA., dear friends Mike Racicot and Larry Riley and many, many friends and family.
We are planning a Celebration of Life mid January (TBA) at The PourHouse Lounge to share some of our favorite memories, our stories, to laugh, to cry and to remember the wonderful person that John was and who will be greatly missed.
