

He was born on April 27, 1921 to Dora (Stewart) and John Walter Jordan in Lancaster, S.C., but spent his growing up years in Rock Hill, S.C. After serving with the 448th Bomb Squadron during WWII, John returned to Rock Hill to marry Elsie Mae Blankenship on November 3, 1945. They traveled from duty station to duty station, finally retiring in Satellite Beach, FL in 1971. John was a member and Sunday School teacher at 1st Baptist Church Merritt Island. He served on the board of directors of a time share resort for many years, enjoyed playing golf and loved family gatherings. He was indeed a fascinating man and is now at home with his Lord and Savior.
He is preceded in death by his wife Elsie Jordan and by his son John Jordan (Gloria). He is survived by daughter Carolyn Mason; son Scott Jordan (Tricia); grandchildren Christina Corwin (Troy), Joshua Mason (Allison), Sarah Hubbard (Zach), Erick Mann (Brandy); and 6 great grandchildren.
