He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on June 24, 1924. John was Navy veteran serving his country WWII. He retired from General Electric Corporation, was Catholic by faith, an avid golfer and enjoyed boating. John was a diehard Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother and will be missed by all of his family and friends.
He is survived by his daughters; Linda Carlson (Richard), Karen Ward (William); his grandchildren Rick Carlson, Kristen Simone (Mike), Amanda Spano (Mark), Jeff Carlson, Bill Ward (Leigh Ann), Bryan Ward (Amber), Brad Ward and Brent Ward; also seventeen great-grandchildren. John is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Nieporte.
There will be a committal service held at 11am on Thursday, December 18 in the chapel at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 11000 Montgomery Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
