

John A. Rensing Melbourne The Rensing family lovingly announces the peaceful passing of John Arthur Rensing on September 29, 2011. He was born to Charles Nicholas and Ella Bezner Rensing of Long Island, New York, on November 16, 1924. John A. Rensing has been a long time Florida resident in Melbourne with his wife of eight years, Imogene "Jean" Harris Rensing. He is survived by his three sons and their spouses, John Peter and Phyllis, Bruce and Edward Wald and Amy. Loving Grandfather of Emil, Christopher, Jacqueline, Melissa, Ian, Amanda, Jonelle, Daniel, Jill and Travis. Great Grandfather to Ella and Maya Filosa, Silas Scauzillo and Madison Garofalo. He was preceded in death by his wives, Josephine A. Rensing and Lillian Sommer Rensing, and his son, Emil Charles. John A. Rensing served in the United States Army, during World War II, in General George Pattons Army. He drove a Half- track and worked in Pat tons personal office. Upon returning home, in 1946, he became a musician and performer at the Chez Mimi in Lindenhurst, Long Is land. His singing and guitar playing has always been a special part of him that brought many good memo ries and much enjoyment that will always be remem bered. John A. Rensing was the founder of Renco Electronics, Inc. He started the company in 1955, with his wife Josephine, in Hick sville, New York, with a loan from his mother-in-law of $2,000. In 1981 the com pany expanded to a new facility in Deer Park, New York. September 1998 relocated to Rockledge, Florida where, after 56 years in business, is thriving and now expanding to Hong Kong. As an ac complished singer and gui tar player, Johns club dates and weddings kept Renco and our family sub sidized in the early years when Renco didnt generate enough money to support itself. Johns dedi cation and love for Renco Electronics set the founda tion for a great company that takes care of so many workers and their families. As a devote Christian Scientist since 1966, we are proud to say he had not needed nor seen a doctor since 1944 when he was honorably discharged from WWII. He was an ac tive member and First Reader of First Church of Christ Scientist, Massape qua, NY, Delray Beach, FL and Cocoa, FL. John A. Rensing was an honorable, generous, and compassionate family man and loving husband who will be greatly missed by his family, friends, Ren co Electronics and the community.
