John Alexander Sprinkle, Jr., 73, a retiree, passed away Monday, January 3rd, 2011 at home in Cocoa, FL. John was born in Winston-Salem, N.C. and graduated in 1959 from N.C. State with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He was a loyal Wolfpack fan! In his senior year, he married Nancy Jane Harrison and the adventure started. John worked for GE (15 years) and Harris Semicon ductor (6 years) before transforming his life-long hobby of coin and stamp collecting into his personal business, Coins & Creations, Inc. With the boom of the computer industry, C&C Computers, Inc. was born in 1980. The addition of the new company allowed John and Nancy to take many wonderful trips around the world. In 2004, John was deeply saddened by the loss of his wife. After several years of being lost, he met a wonderful woman, Joan Crawford, and began living again. In their short time together, they traveled extensively, played bridge, and enjoyed each others company. John was genuinely happy and at peace. Survivors include his 3 daughters: Vicky Lynn Mar shall (Bill), Patty Sprinkle Ziegler (Andy), and Nancy Alexandra Scroggins (Chris); his grandchildren: Dorothy, Janielle, Zachary, Teague and Riley. Also surviving, are his 2 sisters, Katie S. Parker and Nancy S. Mitchell. He was predeceased by his grand son, Billy John. Visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, January 7th, at Florida Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at Rockledge Presbyterian Church, 921 Rockledge Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Rotary Foundation through Suntree Rotary Club, or North Carolina State University Alumni Assoc. in memory of John Sprinkle.
