Katharina Bennett, age 96, of Cocoa, FL, passed away on October 24th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born February 17th, 1928 in Niedergrenzebach, Germany, the daughter of Johannes and Barbara Oches with her siblings Annie, Martha, and Manfred.
Katharina married Arnold Bennett on January 18th, 1948 at the Presbyterian Church in Roosevelt, NY. They were married for 53 years and are now reunited again in heaven. They had 3 beautiful daughters together, along with 8 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Katharina was the life of the party seeming conservative but always knew how to make you laugh. Her joy of singing any song including German polka, Elvis or Mahalia Jackson. You could sit with her for hours listening to the many stories of her life and growing up in Germany. She will be greatly missed by anyone she has ever crossed paths with.
Service begins at 4 pm and will be held at the Life Event Center at the Memorial Gardens, 5950 US-1, Rockledge, FL 32955 until 7 pm.
