Larry was greatly loved and will be extremely missed by his family and his many friends. He leaves his wife, Wendy; Sons, Lyle (Jolee) and Larry Jr; Twin brother, Louis (Dawn); Sister, Lisa (Skip); and Mom, Carol. He was a loving stepfather to Julie, Cathryn, and Grace. Larry was so proud to be G-Pa to Logan, London, Jayde, Gianna, William, Walker, Maverick, and Bethany. He would do anything to make them laugh! He adored his nieces and nephews, Louie (Jackie), Lena, and Leesha (Ryan) and was privileged to be a Great Uncle to Rylan and Hayes. Larry leaves behind many other cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends. He especially loved his best friends, Paul and Rose.
Larry proudly served his country and was a 20 year Veteran of the United States Air Force, followed by 19 years of service to USPS. He loved nature and watching the deer in his backyard. He loved to travel, listening to music, and dancing anytime he could. He loved all sports, especially if the athletes were wearing orange and blue.
Larry lived life to its fullest. He strived to make those around him laugh, feel encouraged, and point them to Jesus, from his closest friends to complete strangers (although Larry never knew a stranger). He loved God first and foremost, followed by family, friends, and last but not least the Florida Gators. He would do everything in his power to protect those he loved and cherished. Yet, within his power to protect, he was gentle and kind hearted.
"God is great, Gators are #1, and people are crazy." - Larry Carrera
To Conclude, below is one Bible verse of many that he cherished:
"But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint." - Isaiah 40:31
