Louis moved to Eau Gallie, Florida in 1953. He worked for RCA from 1953 to1970. Louis also worked at Brevard Drive In as a Projectionist from 1956 to 1967. Louis worked for Boeing and EG&G at the Space Center as a High Voltage Technician from 1971 until he retired in 1991.
Louis is a Mason and enjoyed ham radio.
He is survived by his wife Roane, son David Chowning, daughters Cindy Griffith(Steve), Kathy France(Glen). Stepsons Jon White(Padma), Gordon White(Lynne). 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great grandchildren and loving nephews.
Preceded in death by his first wife Jessie, brothers Dagmar Chowning and Charles Chowning. Daughters Debbie Allen, Pat Hardman, and Beverly Pantuso and his grandson Sam Griffith.
