

Margaret Ruth (Ruthie) Wallace, 57, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on October 3, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 13, 1966, in Rockledge, Florida, to the late Margaret Parrish Wallace Russell and Theodore E. Wallace, Jr. Ruthie was the beloved wife of Ali Gandomikal and the loving mother of Avani and Alex Gandomikal.
She is preceded in death by her mother, her father, and her brother, Theodore (Ted) E. Wallace, III.
She is survived by her husband, Ali and her children, Avani and Alex; her sisters, Pam McKenney (Pete), Debra Wallace, Mary Wallace, Laura Moorefield (Tim) and Connie Wallace; her brothers, John Wallace (Maria), Tim Wallace and Tom Wallace (Fawn); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Ruthie was the eighth child of ten children and was devoted to her family. She cherished her role as a daughter, sister, friend, co-worker, and most importantly, as a mother. Her children were her world, and she loved them beyond measure. Ruthie's kind-hearted and genuine nature touched the lives of many, and her infectious smile brought light into the world. She had a remarkable ability to make someone's day better and always put others before herself.
She attended Colonial High School and pursued higher education at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She furthered her education at the University of Central Florida, obtaining another Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Administration.
She began her career in banking at Coral Gables in 1985, starting as a teller and working her way up to become a loan officer. She later joined Sun Trust as Vice President of Mortgage Loans, where she served until 2018 when she retired to devote her time fully to motherhood.
Ruthie grew up attending the First Baptist Church of Cocoa and more recently found solace in worship at the First Baptist Church of Merritt Island.
In her leisure time, Ruthie enjoyed creating cherished memories with her family. She had a passion for travel, particularly cruising, and took pleasure in introducing her children to diverse experiences and cultures. Ruthie dedicated numerous hours to volunteering at Waterford Lakes Elementary School with their Student Advocacy Council and Parent Teacher Student Association. She was also actively involved in the Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, where she made a positive impact on the lives of young girls and was a valued member of Kiwanis.
A memorial service to celebrate Ruthie's life will be held on October 12, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial Gardens, located at 5950 US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida 32955 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations made in Margaret's name to The Gift of Life 27/Central Florida Charity for Premature Babies, Girl Scouts of Citrus Council, American Cancer Society, or First Baptist Church of Merritt Island.
The funeral arrangements are entrusted to Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge, Florida.
Margaret Ruth Wallace will be deeply missed by her husband, children, siblings, nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
