

She was born in Baker’s Ridge, West Virginia to Daniel and Dorothy Bendgen, and graduated from Morgantown High School. She was married to Jack Hampton, who died in 1991.
After their marriage, Nancy and Jack moved to Cocoa, Florida, where they owned and operated Fulmer Drug store. Nancy’s creative touch was seen in the store’s holiday décor and merchandise displays. Nancy enjoyed traveling, reading, cross stitch, and walking on the beach. The life of any party, Nancy will be missed by a wide circle of friends, including the residents of The Brennity at Melbourne Senior Living.
Nancy is survived by her son Hayes and his wife Lisa Hammond, of Lugoff, South Carolina, her son Mark, of Reminderville, Ohio, her partner Gary Clark and his family, and her five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday, July 8, at Florida Memorial Gardens, 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, FL. A visitation will take place from 2:00-3:00 p.m., followed by remembrances from family and loved ones at 3:00pm.
Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to the University of South Carolina Sumter, 200 Miller Road, Sumter, SC 29150.
