Elnora, affectionately known as Norie, was born to Leonard Washington Witt and Bessie Harding in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was the oldest of six children. She was preceded in death by her brother Leonard (Buddy) and her sisters Mary, Pat, and Judy. She is survived by her sister Kitty.
On December 24, 1959, she married Leon Bardin Crocker. After their marriage, they first lived in Richmond, VA, and later moved to Clearwater, FL. In Clearwater, they started their family with their daughters Angela (Duff), married to Rob Duff, and Melissa (Davis), married to Ferrell Davis. They eventually moved back to Richmond and then to Virginia Beach, VA, where they lived until 1981, before relocating to Melbourne, FL. In 2002, they adopted their daughter Annalee (Crocker), married to Kyle Kunz.
Norie is preceded in death by her granddaughter Tiffany and survived by her granddaughters Rebecca, Emilie, and Danielle, as well as her grandson Jason.
Norie pursued a career in cosmetology and owned her own salon in Norfolk, VA. Due to a back injury, she had to stop being a hairstylist and, in Florida, held various retail jobs until her retirement.
On December 12, 2025, she passed away from Alzheimer’s and pneumonia. She passed peacefully with family by her side. She is loved and will be missed.
A visitation will be held on December 27, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at the Life Event Center at Florida Memorial, located at 5950 South US Highway 1, Rockledge, Florida.
The funeral service will follow on the same day at 2:00 pm at the same location.
