Bob is missed more than words can say. He was the kindest, sweetest man one could ever know. He was a faithful husband and father who loved and cared for his family. He was a loyal friend to countless numbers of people over the years.  It was an honour to know him.
My husband and I are at Marko Villas now. This is an ocean front condo that Bob and Helen and their family have owned and loved so much over the years. When we purchased a unit at Marko Villas in 2011, we got to know Bob and Helen very well.  Bob took a personal interest in the patio/pool furniture and the gardens, and kept the Board on their toes regarding the upkeep of the property. I worked with Bob on a committee whose mandate was to  purchase new patio/pool furniture.  He had a great sense of humour and we shared many good laughs together as we resolved the patio/pool  furniture scenario. The patio/pool furniture is still in existence at Marko 
Villas, which is a tribute to Bob!
 Bob knew every fine restaurant in the area and he knew the best companies to deal with regarding home concerns.  His advise was always appreciated and  so valuable. He helped everyone and was a real "people person".  
 He was a patriotic American who loved his country and had also served in the military. Having just celebrated Memorial Day, and  as we  approach July 4th, we especially  remember Bob with fondness and love. Rest In Peace, our dear friend.

There are so many fond memories we have of Bob! We miss him so much.  When we look at the patio furniture at Marko Villas, and the fun (and hassle) we had purchasing it together for the condominium association, it just goes to show how well Bob worked with people to get this accomplished. If he only knew that the company we dealt with is replacing all the tables this year under the warranty because of salt issues, he would be very happy. How Bob loved to have things taken care of and so pristine looking! We are very grateful for Bob, who also took so much time to show us all the various great restaurants around the area and for his kindness and friendship to us in so many ways. Bob has left a wonderful legacy for his family, Helen, Christina, and Bryan.   Helen was blessed to have such an amazing husband and Christina and Bryan, such a caring father. On this anniversary of Bob's passing, we are honored to take this time to pause and remember him!  His was a life well lived for others.

So much love to you Helen, Christina, and Brian. Bob was such a bright spot in my life and I’m fortunate he was in it. So many fantastic memories that I’ll cherish – Homestead, Disney, Cocoa Beach, UM games, Florida State games. Most of all, I’ll miss running into him unexpectedly. Those times were the best – he’d hug me like he never wanted to let go and wanted it to last until the next time we saw each other. I’ll miss those the most. I love and miss you, Bob. 

Bob made the world a better place, and we are all much better people having known him. His zest for life and his kindness to everyone will serve as a legacy to him and to his family.  Bob connected with people easily, communicated well,  and enjoyed helping so many throughout his lifetime. He was highly organized, punctual, detailed, and diligent in everything he did.

Ed and I first met Bob and Helen while doing some renovations after purchasing our second  floor condo at Marko Villas. We joked about us, as Canadians, being on the “south” side, and them being on the “north”  side of the building.  Our friendship solidified when Bob suggested at an annual HOA meeting that the condo desperately  needed new poolside furniture. When he offered to look into this, and needed some help, I immediately joined him in this venture which took many long hours of research, phone calls, e-mails, and visits to numerous showrooms. We were a great team, and I recognized what a wonderful person Bob was instantly. When the furniture was finally selected and approved by the Board, Bob was there when it was delivered and helped in the arrangement of it.  He bought special cleaner for the tables and meticulously cleaned them on numerous occasions. Whenever I think about the beautiful poolside furniture, I will always see Bob’s handiwork in it. 

Bob has assisted us in so many ways at the condo since we are not there as often as we would like.  Recently he took me over to his insurance agent where I was able to increase my coverage, and still save money on my condo policy, He was a wealth of knowledge in so many ways! He introduced us to numerous restaurants where the four of us shared happy times together. We kept in touch regularly.

Our prayers go out to you, Helen, Christina, and Brian.  He loved you immensely and was so proud of you as his family.  You are blessed to have had such a compassionate and caring husband and father.

May God s hand of mercy sustain and keep you always.





Over the last 37 years, Bob has been a mentor, role-model, and most importantly, a friend to me.  He shared his knowledge and experience generously, which contributed to my success with Prudential. Personally, he shared his passion for the Miami Hurricanes and his friendship. I treasure our conversations about the Canes trials and tribulations and will think of him when rooting them on in the future.  My thoughts and prayers are with Helen, Christina, and Brian.

When you acquired a piece of the rock, Bob came along with it as a life long friend.  He was a boulder among pebbles!  What a nice guy!  We have been friends since the mid 70's.  When he greeted my wife, Nery, it was always with, "¿Como estas chica?"  I remember months after Hurricane Andrew I called him to say that Prudential had dropped us, he replied laughing, "Don't worry my friend, they dropped me too!  I remember golf, Hurricane Baseball games, fixing his cars and in later years visiting on Sanibel, Cocoa Beach and keeping in touch on facebook.  Rest and peace my friend.


Bob had a laugh that could lighten any room and he loved to share it with everyone around him. Having grown up with Bob as part of the family, I have countless memories of him - from cheering on the Canes, to relaxing at Cocoa Beach, to teaching me how to write my name in the snow in Arizona (while at the same time staying away from the yellow snow). Bob always made the best out of life and will be greatly missed. Our thoughts go out to his family.

Knowing Bob over the last few years was a true pleasure.  He welcomed me into his home and was always kind and giving. 
He will be deeply missed. Bob had a great sense of humor and was willing to help others.  I always enjoyed our time together and looked forward to seeing him every time we came down to visit.  Bobs favorite thing to do was to email pictures of the beach when we had snow on the ground back in New York and said “ it must suck up there”.

Bob you'll be sorely missed.  Thanks for all the great memories through the years.  Was always fun being around you and your wonderful family while  growing up.  Lots of great memories that will live on.  You were always smiling and full of life every time our paths would cross.  I hadn't seen Brian in over 10 years and bumped into him in Cocoa Beach less then 2 weeks ago.  Had a great conversation with him and it brought back lots of great memories.  Our hearts hurt for Helen, Christina, and Brian and your entire extended family and friends.  There's a large void but your legacy lives on.  Godspeed.  

I will miss my Uncle.  I have great memories of visiting down in Homestead as a child and then have great memories of visiting Cocoa Beach many years later with children of my own.  He always made me laugh and was always so good to me.  I'll never forget the trip to Cocoa and how the kids just gravitated towards him and he was so great with them....as if they had known each other for years.   I will also miss the emails during football season discussing his Hurricanes and my Volunteers.

Kim and I will miss him terribly and will be thinking of Helen, Christina, and Brian during this trying time.




There are no words to express how much Bob will be missed. Bob was much more than a friend, he was family to all of us. I will miss his infectious laugh, our long talks about sports, and rooting on his beloved Canes. There are 23 years of fond memories that I have, but of those my favorite are our poolside talks at the condo in Cocoa, going to tailgates and UM football games, visiting the best restaurants in Cocoa (Bob always knew the best places) with him and Helen and spending Thanksgiving with the Kelley family. Bob was one of the most giving, funny, kind and honorable people you will ever meet... and he had the most impressive collection of Hurricane gear (every time I saw him he was always representing his Canes). My heart goes out to Helen, Brian & Christina. Please know that we are here for you.

We were devastated to hear Bob passed away.  From when we first met Bob as new owners at Marko Villas straight through our last visit there in April, he was always making thoughtful and fun suggestions for where we might eat and play - and when we weren't there, updates  on offshore boat racing,  local art festivals and Surfing Santa's would arrive by email on a weekly basis.  

Sorry Bob that we never made it to Cocoa Beach for Thanksgiving holiday - which was a regular request of his.  It also happens to be our shared wedding anniversary.   We were hoping to see him this October when the Hurricanes play BC in Boston.  

Last Thursday night  here on Cape Cod we went to the Orleans Inn and raised a glass to himself.  While we were there we finally met the owner Ed Maas,  John's brother (another thing Bob had been urging us to do) and we shared some good stories.

Bob always made us feel like family and his true concern for others was remarkable.  We already miss him terribly.  Rest In Peace Bob.

It has been my pleasure to get to know and be a part of Bob's life these past two years. Bob was a very friendly, caring, and giving man.I enjoyed our time visiting, going out for breakfast and spending time poolside at the condo. Bob always  welcomed me  with a hug and a  smile followed by "Hi girl what adventure have you been up to now ?" The sound of his laughter  will be greatly missed but the memories I have will last a lifetime .

We became instant friends with Bob & Helen after meeting at a Prudential Convention in the 70's, and were together at many,many more conferences to come! Such good times together, and memories that will be with us always! Bob has gone before us on this adventure, and we grieve the loss of his presence here with us. Love, prayers & big hugs to Helen,Christina, Brian, and other family members during this difficult time. Born into eternal life "Big Boy"! And always and forever in our hearts! XO's 

Dear Bob...(spelled backwards or forwards, its the same, as you would chuckle and say...)

While we knew each other for just a few short years, it seems you and I were friends for decades.  You and your beautiful bride welcomed us into your lives with incredible grace.  We met at the pool one sunny afternoon, and our bond was sealed.  Your charming personna was epic...your laugh, sense of humor and kindness left little doubt that you were a genuine gentleman.

You introduced us to the app called “Marco Polo,” where we could  exchange video chat sessions rather than simply text messages.  You and I Marco Poloed weekly...and I know you cherished each exchange as much as did I.  

Sadly, so close to our July return to Cocoa Beach you were called home.  Our trips to CCB will not ever be the same.  While I’m devastated you’ve moved-on, I am blessed you finally entered my life.  I will never forget you...

“Until I see you again,” my friend.  Rest well.  You and I will have much to share at our next visit.

Some 58 years ago I met Bob on the football field at Coral Gables High School. The years during High School was a time we will never forget. Hard and wonderful times on the football field together but GREAT TIMES AS FRIENDS !  There was five of us that were very close during this time. Bob and I remained friends even though I moved across the country.  Bob was someone that when you were his close friend it was for life. He loved all people and cared greatly for everyone. People that were down he tried to help them regain their dignity and place in life. His love for God was the shining glow of his life. His friendship will never end and his impact on the world will always continue. Save a place for all your friends on the sidelines to cheer the Canes!!

Words cannot possibly express the deep feelings of loss I have. Just 3 weeks ago, Bob called and we said (as we so often did) "The three of us should get together for lunch soon".  And now I have missed the chance to do it. Helen: we'll have to have lunch and a drink to Bob!  I will miss  almost 40 years of Bob calling to say "Hey, girl!...."  I guess the next time, it will be in a better place.  My loss is shared with everyone Bob ever met. They instantly came to be family to him.  Good night & God speed, Bob.

Bob was a wonderful man.  Always fun.  Always upbeat.  He was a gentleman and a gentle man.
He will be missed but always remembered and held closely in our 💕.

I have the most amazing childhood memories of Bob. You all were a very special part of my family growing up. 
He was a tremendous mentor to my dad through his career at Prudential.

I enjoyed seeing his facebook posts of all of the wonderful things he and Helen did together over the years. 
I hope you all find peace and comfort and cherish the beautiful memories you have with him.

Helen, Christina, Brian and family,  it was such a shock to hear about Bob.  The world's a better place because of Bob Kelley.  He will be dearly missed by so many friends.
