Thelma "Magga" Goldman, 86, passed away April 13, 2011. Thelma was born to Joseph and Lena on July 5, 1924 in Borough Park, Brooklyn, New York.
She was an active mother and teacher, president of the PTA, Den Mother, and always passionate for community theater. In 1988 she came to Brevard County to retire with her husband, Simon, and continued her activism as a volunteer for The United Order of True Sisters, House Manager for Surfside Playhouse, and board member of her condominium association. But Thelma was most happy when she was with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son, Roy Goldman; daughter-in-law, Heather Dolstra; daughter and best friend, Debbie Sommer; son-in-law, Keith Sommer; granddaughters, Julia and Diana Goldman; grandson, Alexander Sommer; and grand-dog, Zoe. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Simon Goldman.
A service will be held Friday, April 15, 2011 at 2:00 pm at Florida Memorial Funeral Home.
