

Thomas A. Green Jr., (Tom) 80, of Melbourne, Florida passed away on April 7, 2023 at Melbourne Regional Medical Center. He was a Christian man of faith, a devoted husband, father, and a true Patriot with a deep love for his country.
Thomas (Tom) grew up in Tampa, Florida where he met and married his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 61 years, Ernestine Nichols Green. They were married in 1961 and have been inseparable ever since. Tom began his 25 year career in the United States Air Force in 1960. While in the military, Tom served numerous overseas tours to include Greenland and Vietnam. During his military service he earned many awards and commendations for Achievement and Excellence.
Tom retired from active duty at Patrick A.F.B. as a Master Sergeant in 1985. He then began his second career as a Department of the Air Force Civilian, supporting Patrick A.F.B. as a subject matter expert on Civil Engineering HVAC System Operations. Tom performed these critical duties until retiring from Civil Service in 2007. Tom proudly served his country for over 47 years.
Throughout his life, Tom enjoyed many activities and sports. Some of these included Drag Racing, Golfing, Saltwater and Freshwater Fishing.
Tom is survived by the love of his life Ernestine Green; Son Thomas S. Green and his wife Lorrie Green; Grandchildren Jarred Green and his wife Pilar Green, and Morgan Green; Daughter Renee Koch; Granddaughter Rachel Ruberte and her husband Eugene Ruberte; and his great grandchildren, Thomas Ruberte, Chloe Ruberte, Phoebe Ruberte, and Esther Ruberte.Tom was predeceased by his son Michael R. Green, and by his beloved, faithful dog and constant companion, Roscoe.
