Virgil L. Lawson, Sr.

We celebrate the life of Virgil, who passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010. Virgil was born in Stuart, VA. After high school, he enlisted in the US Air Force. Virgil then made his home in New Jersey, where he worked for RCA and retired after 34 years. He came to Cocoa in 1994. Virgil enjoyed a life well lived. He is survived by family and friends that he loved. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Marilyn; four sons, Virgil, (Nanette) of VA, Steven of GA, Mike and Gary of FL; 2 granddaughters, Kelly (Travers) of FL and Tamara of Germany; 2 great-granddaughters, Ny'Imah and Bella of FL; loving brother, Lester (Denise) of SC; sisters, Betty (Clyde) of NC and Linda of VA; and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held on December 16, 2010 at Florida Memorial Funeral Home, 5950 S. US1, Rockledge. Visitation is from 1:30 to 2:30, with a service following at 2:30. Interment will be at Brevard Memorial Park, 5475 N. US1, Cocoa. A reception after the services will be at the Moose Lodge, 3150 N. Courtenay Parkway, Merritt Island.
